When I walk into the room it's quiet, only Thorin, Frerin, Dis, Balin, and some other dwarves I don't know sit at the table. One of them is loud and he has a deep raspy Scottish accent. Thorin quickly stands once he sees me in the room, then the other guys follow after him. Frerin smiles and pulls out a chair for me.

"The gown looks ravishing on you." He says as I sit down. I look down at the green and gold robes I'm wearing.

"Thank you, Frerin."

"Oh, who's this lovely lady?" The loud dwarf calls out.

"Edlyn! Her name is Edlyn..." Dis says picking at her food. Thorin turns his head toward me smirking. I smile back picking up my fork.

"What a pretty name, I'm Dain."

"Our cousin," Thorin continues. "Dis eat, father will get on you if you don't." She just rolls her eyes picking up food and flicking it across the dining table.

"Dis!" Frerin yells. She takes food and throws it at her brother. He ducks and it hits that wall behind him.

"Don't yell at me!" Thorin turns his head toward his sister.

"Why did you do that? You shouldn't act a fool at the dining table," He says. "What do you say to your brother?"

She huffs and starts to leave the table but Thorin grabs her arm. I slowly eat watching them.

"Thorin, leave the girl be." Balin says but Thorin just ignores him.

"What do you say to your brother!?" He yells.

"Let go of me!" She screams yanking her arm away and leaving the room.

"Please excuse me." Thorin says getting up and throwing his napkin down on the table. That's when I stand.

"Leave her be, clearly she is upset for some reason! You just make it worse." Thorin turns his attention on me.

"She had no right to throw food."

"I get that but leave her alone." I demand.

"Who are you to tell me what I can and cannot do!?"

"Fine, then go yell at her some more!" I sit down and continue to eat not looking at any of the dwarves around me. Thorin walks out of the room, we all sit quietly eating. Surprisingly, I don't hear any screaming but that doesn't mean anything. Once we've finished eating Frerin escorts me back to his brother's room. His arm hooked in mine.

"I know exactly why my sister is acting out."

"Why is she doing it?"

"Cause she likes you a lot, you play with her...care for her. She likes that Edlyn," He sighs. My heart starts beating pretty fast. "I think all of us have grown on you..." He stops and we look at each other. I feel a smile start to pull at my lips but then it fades.

"I must get home...to my father. I left without his consent, I fear he may be worrying plus, my friends are to be married soon." I drop my head as I talk but Frerin slides his hand on my face lifting my head back up.

"Thank you...for everything, for being so good to my sister." He smiles and I nod. I lean in and kiss his cheek.

"Thank you, Frerin." He bows and then turns to leave but Thorin stands a few feet away from us.

"What is this!?" He growls. I gulp because of how harsh the anger is in his voice.

"Brother, we were just telling each other goodbye." Thorin tenses up.

"Right...we leave now Edlyn." Thorin demands. I turn away going to his room and grabbing the cloak off of the bed. I watch him and his brother through the open doors. Thorin is enraged, when he yells and it echoes I grip my cloak tighter. Frerin leaves after that and Thorin's gaze turns to me. I tense up as my stomach gets butterflies, leaving now may be the hardest thing I have to do.
