Grian and Scar had been dating for two years now and it was the day of their anniversary.

Scar made sure he woke up early and carefully got out of bed as to not wake up his sleeping boyfriend. Slowly getting ready for what he had planned for the day.

He wanted to take Grian on a picnic date in a nearby apple orchard. Not only that but he planned to get some apples while they were they so when they got back he could make an apple pie for the two to enjoy.

Once he was ready, Scar made his way into the kitchen and began preparing the picnic. In it, he made sure to include an range of Grian's favourite foods.

When Scar had finished preparing the picnic, he took the basket and moved it near the door. He then placed the picnic blanket, that they kept in a cupboard near the door, on top of the picnic basket.

Just as he did so, a sleep looking Grian walked up behind the brunette and wrapped his arms around his boyfriends waist.

"Why are you up so early? Come back to be" Grian questioned before letting out a small yawn.

"Birdie, it's 9 am and today is a special day" Scar smiled as he turned around to face the smaller. He then placed a small kiss on top of Grian's head.

"How is today special? Cause it's not either of our birthday's. Not is it the birthday of any of our friends."

"If you take a look at the day I think you'll figure out why today is so special."

So, Grian took out his communicator, looking slightly more awake, and looked out the date. His eyes instantly lighting up as a smile grew on his face.

"Happy two year anniversary" Grian smiled before pulling Scar down slightly and giving him a quick peck on the lips.

"Happy anniversary Birdie. Now, go get ready we're going on a picnic cause as cute as you look in one of my shirts, you can't exactly go out in just that" Scar replied, giving the blonde a qyick kiss in return before saud blonde ran off to get ready for the day.

Once both of them were ready, they set off to the orchard, Scar carrying the picnic basket while Grian carried the blanket.

Not long after, they had arrived and immediately set up the picnic in a slight clearing.

"So what else have you got planned love?" Grian questioned as he slowly began to eat a sandwich.

"We'll I was thinking we could pick some apple and then, when we get home, I could make us an apple pie" Scar explained, also eating a sandwich.

"Sound good, can't wait to taste your amazing apple pie" Grian smiled.

"How do you know it's going to be amazing? I've never baked you an apple pie before" Scar questioned, tilting his head to the side slightly.

"Maybe because everything you bake is amazing" Grian replied, giggling as a red blush began to spread across the taller's face.

With that, the two continued with their picnic before picking some apples and making their way back to their house.

Once home, Scar collected the apple and immediately made his way to the kitchen to get to work. Meanwhile, Grian took the picnic basket and emptied out all the rubbish into the bin and left to put it away. Grian then made his way to the kitchen and began to watch as Scar baked the pie.

Grian always like to keep Scar company and watch him while he baked. There was just something so calming about watching his boyfriend dance around the kitchen, grabbing and putting away the needed ingredients for what ever he had decided to bake. And Scar would allow him. The brunette liked it when his boyfriend would come watch him. He enjoyed the company.

Around an hour had passed, and the two lovers were now sat on the sofa, eating the freshly baked apple pie. As they did so, they just enjoyed each others company, completely ignoring the mess that had been made in the kitchen from Grian deciding to prank Scar by throwing a bit of flour at him, flour that started a small flour war. Neither of them cared though. They were just glad that they got to spend they day together and they wouldn't change that for the world
