Grian was having a rough day. It was the anniversary of when he was taken by the watchers back on Evo and was forced to watch them destroy the server.

Several years had passed since then. Now he was on Hermitcraft, one of the few watcher-proof servers. However, it didn't hurt any less.

The avian remained stuck in his thoughts for many minutes until he was broken free from his motionless state by a ding from his communicator. So, he picked it up and checked to see who had messaged him.

It was Xisuma.

Xisuma: Hey Grian, where are you? You said you would come over to my base and help me with sorting through my things.

He had completely forgotten that he said he would help X. So, Grian quickly rushed to get ready to head over.

As he was doing so, he received another message. However, he ignored it and continued to get ready.

Once ready, he went to check his communicator when he got another message.

Xisuma: Grian? You okay? I saw you read my message but didn't reply.

Xisuma: You know what, stay at your base. I'm coming over. I'm worried about you since it's very unlike you to read a message and not reply straight away.

Once Grian had finished reading the messages, he went to reply to Xisuma.

Grian: I'm fine, don't worry. I was just getting ready to head over. There's no need to come over, I'll see you at your base.

However, as Grian hit send, he heard knocking at his door.

'Damn, X is fast, providing it is him that is' Grian thought to himself as he made his way over to his door.

He opened his door and was met with his admin. Grian could tell that Xisuma was worried, by the expression on his face, despite the helmet he was wearing.

"Sorry for not replying straight away. I kinda got lost in thought and it sort of slipped my mind" Grian explained as he welcomed the voidwalker into his house.

"It's fine, but is everything okay? You look kind of sad" X replied as the two made their way over to Grian's living room.

"I'm fine, just a little tired" Grian lied.

He was far from fine. He couldn't stop thinking about how the watchers had destroyed Evo and the fact that he hadn't done anything to stop them. He felt guilty that his friends and fellow evolutionists had to leave the server they called home because of the watchers.

He blamed himself. He knew he wasn't able to do anything but that didn't stop him from blaming himself.

"Okay, that's a lie and you know it Grian. I can tell something is wrong. You can tell me, I'm not going to judge. I want to make sure you're okay. Especially since it's my job as admin to make sure all the hermits are okay and that includes you. So what's wrong?" Xisuma said after instantly detecting the lie Grian had told. And that is when Grian broke.

"It's all my fault. If only I had stopped them then they wouldn't have destroyed the server" Grian blurted out as tears began to fall down his face.

"What's your fault? And stopped who?"

"The watchers, they destroyed the server. They almost killed my friends. They took me and forced me to become one of them. I should have protected them. I should have protected the server. It's all my fault."

"Hey hey hey, it's okay. The watchers aren't here. If they took you, you wouldn't have been able to do anything to stop them. It isn't your fault."

"But..."

"No buts Grian. Even if you tried, you wouldn't have been able to have stopped them if they had you captive. It's not your fault, okay?"

"Okay" Grian sniffled, tears slowly coming to a stop as the avian hugged his admin. Xisuma hugged back, comforting the smaller hermit.

"Would you like to talk about it more? Or talk more about how you're feeling or anything I can do to help?" Xisuma offered.

"No, I don't really feel like talking about more than the bones of it right now. Maybe another time" Grian mumbled into Xisuma's shoulder.

"Another time then. Is there anything I can do to help you get your mind off it?" Xisuma asked.

"A distraction would be good."

"Well, how about we head to my base and sort my storage system like you promised you would. How does that sound for a distraction?"

"That would be good."

"Well then, let's go."

With that, the two hermits broke the hug and flew off to the admin's base. Immediately getting to work as soon as they arrived.
