"Gem, you got anymore pickles?" Pearl asked for what felt like the millionth time.

"Pearl, I just restocked my pickle shop, what do you mean it's already out of stock?" Gem questioned.

"I went to buy out your pickles but when I got there, there were nothing but crystals," Pearl explained, "there was also a compass with the crystals."

"A compass? Who would just leave a compass somewhere random like my pickle shop?"

"I don't know, but it looks like the compass is pointing somewhere away from spawn."

"Is this your way of asking if I would like to find out where the compass lead with you?"

"So, is that a yes?"

"I'm always up for an adventure, and to be honest, I could do with a break. Let me just quickly put some stuff away and prepare some stuff for the adventure."

"Alrighty then, I'll go back to my base and grab some stuff for the adventure also. Meet at your light in like half and hour."

"Sounds like a plan, see you in half an hour."

With that, Pearl set off towards her base. Meanwhile Gem sorted through her inventory putting away the unneeded stuff as well as grabbing stuff that they may need for their adventure. Ultimately, setting off towards her light house minutes later.

Half an hour later, Pearl returned to Gem's base and made her way towards the light house with a shulker box of supplies in hand.

As she neared the lighthouse, Pearl could see Gem leaning against the base of it, looking out across her base.

"You ready, Gem?" Pearl asked as she reached earshot of Gem.

"Yeah you?" Gem replied earning a nod from the other.

"Let's go then" Pearl said, placing the mysterious compass in her left hand and quickly swapping the shulker box of supplies with some rockets.

Seconds later, the duo set off into the sky and began to follow the compass.

Not much happened as the duo flew through the sky. Stopping every once in a while to eat and sleep.

Days had passed since they started to follow the compass still they had not come across where the compass was pointing.

"How much longer do you think it will be before we find where the compass is leading us too?" Gem questioned as the duo landed for a break.

"I have no idea, hopefully not much longer though" Pearl replied.

"What if we walk a little bit?"  Gem suggested before eating a golden carrot.

"I'm down with that" Pearl hummed out in response. And so, they began to walk, still following the compass.

Minutes passed, before the duo came to a sudden halt. In front of them stood a large building. Each wall made from a mix of colourful crystals, alongside each door and window. Slightly of to the side of them sat a sign. A sign which was also made from the same crystal as the building. On the sign, two words were carved out in galactic.

"Woah, this place is incredible. I wonder what the sign says" Gem gasped out, the view in front of her taking her breath away.

"Yeah it is," Pearl hummed in response before asking, "what do you mean by wonder what the sign says?"

"It's written in galactic a language that hardly any people can translate."

"Oh, well I know a bit of galactic. Maybe I could translate it."

"Go ahead."

And so Pearl did. She walked up to the sign and began to study it. Before eventually turning to Gem with an answer as to what the sign says.

"It says 'Crystal Cathedral'" Pearl translated.

"I guess that makes sense. After all, the place is made off crystals" Gem said with a small smile and giggle.

"Yeah, you wanna explore it?"

"Is that even a question."

With that, Pearl ran into the cathedral with Gem not so far behind.

Each step the duo took within the cathedral, everything began to look even more spectacular. Everything was made of crystals. From the floors to the ceilings to the furniture to even the plants scattered around the edge of the room. Both Gem and Pearl were amazed with the cathedral's beauty.

The dui spent hours exploring the cathedral before, finally, they had seen it all. Eventually deciding that they should begin to head home.

And so they did. Both of them knowing that they would never forget what they had seen on their adventure.
