Joel was working on a new build for his Japanese themed base. However, he suddenly came to a halt when he found that he was out of terrocatta.
So, if he went on his way to the nearest Mesa. However, before he could get all the way there, he was stopped by Etho.
"Joel, just the person I wanted to see" Etho called out. As he did so, Joel landed in front of the white haired man.
"What do you want, Etho? You going to finally admit that you're obsessed with me" Joel inquired.
"First of all, I'm not obsessed with you. You're obsessed with me. Second of all, I found something that may take your interest."
"Okay, you can keep denying it but I know you're obsessed with me. I'm just so tall and handsome. Anyway, what'd you find?"
"Come with me" Etho said, signalling for Joel to follow, which he did.
After a couple minutes of Joel following Etho, the two finally came to a stop in front of a small pen.
Inside the pen, lay a little vixen, a vixen that lay fast asleep. It had its tail over its snout. Honestly, it didn't look real.
"I don't get it. It's just a fox" Joel stated.
"Joel, do you know the significance of the fox within Japanese culture?" Etho questioned.
"No."
"Well, in Japan a fox is known as a kitsune. It is often associated with the deity Inari, the god of rice, fertility and agriculture. Not only that, but they are believed to be messengers of Inari Kitsunes are believed to possess magical abilities and can shape shift into a human form. Within Japanese folk lore, they are often depicted as clever and cunning tricksters. They are also seen as protectors and bringers of good fortune. However they can be mischievous or even vengeful if wronged."
"Your point in telling me this is?"
"To help you with your understanding of the Japanese culture since you're doing a Japanese themed base."
"I'm still confused as to how foxes are important within Japanese culture."
"Basically, they are considered highly significant creatures as they hold a complex and dualistic role in Japanese culture, embodying both benevolence and trickery."
"Oh that's cool. How do you know all this?"
"I grew up in Japan so I learnt about Japanese culture in school."
"Oh, makes sense I guess. Is there any other cool fact about the Japanese culture that you can tell me?"
"Oh there's plenty I could tell you."
And with that, Etho began explaining things that are a part of the Japanese culture. Meanwhile, Joel sat and listened, asking a question about it every once in a while.
