12★A Reckless Romance

Mumbo, Grian and Scar had been dating for a couple months now, and, like all couples, each of them had subconsciously been assigned their roles within the relationship.

Mumbo was the caring and responsible one, Scar was the cook and the protective one and Grian, well Grian was just Grian, the chaotic free spirited one.

With this, they ended up in the position they were currently in.

Grian and Scar had gone off to get some more mobs for Scar's zoo.  Meanwhile, Mumbo was at his base, unaware of what his two boyfriends were up too. This leading to the mustached man to pass around his base waiting and hoping for one of them to message him. However, little did he know, neither Grian nor Scar were in the position to be able to.

The two of them had come across a woodland mansion and we were trapped inside. They were being attacked at all angles by vexes and vindicators.

"Grian, look out behind you" Scar shouted, noticing a vex about to attack the blonde from behind. Immediately, Grian turned and killed the vex.

As the two continued to fight off the mobs, more continued to spawn. As they did, it was getting harder and harder for Grian and Scar to fight them off without taking damage.

"Where are they all coming from?" Grian shouted.

"No idea, but we should probably find a way to get out of here, there's no way we'll be able to kill them all" Scar shouted in response. Immediately, after he said that, he saw an opening within the hoard of mobs. Without hesitation, he grabbed Grian's arm and began running through the gap, blocking as many hits as possible.

As soon as the two got far enough away, they stopped running and came to a halt altogether.

"You okay birdie?" Scar questioned, immediately checking Grian for any serious injuries.

"I'm fine what about you?" Grian replied.

"I'm fine, but are you sure you're okay? From what I saw you ended duo taking a good chunk of damage" Scar replied, still evaluating Grian's injuries.

Just as Grian was about to respond, he saw a vex appear behind Scar.

"Scar behind you" Grian yelled out. However, before the brunette could react, the vex attacked and effectively killed him within seconds, resulting in all the hermits' communicators to pin with the message 'GoodTimeWithScar was slained by a vex'.

As soon as Mumbo saw the message he began to panic even more. What the heck were his boyfriends doing?

Grian on the other hand, immediately got to work killing the vex and pulled out his enderchest. Knowing that neither he or Scar had set their spawn points outside the mansion, he pulled out an empty shulker from his enderchest and began collecting his boyfriends stuff and putting it into said shulker.

Once he had collected everything he placed the shulker back into his enderchest chest before pulling out another shulker. Knowing it probably won't be long before he died himself, Grian put all his stuff into the shulker before placing the now full shulker into his enderchest.

Seconds after he did so, he was killed and all communicators were pinged with the message 'Grian was slained by a vindicator'.

When it came to respawning, it was something that none of the hermits enjoyed. They had to deal with the phantom pain where they were last hit before dying. It also didn't help that the pain level varied with each hermit.

Thankfully for Scar, the phantom pain didn't last long and as soon as possible, he began to rush over to Grian's base. However, he was stopped in his tracks when he ran into someone. That someone being his mustached boyfriend, Mumbo.

"There you are, come on let's get to Grian and then the three of us are going to talk" Mumbo said, grabbing a hold of Scar's hand and dragging the brunette over to their boyfriend's base.

Meanwhile, Grian slowly sat up on his bed, groaning in pain as he did so. He felt as though he was repeatedly being stabbed in the back, by far being one of the most painful phantom pains he had experienced since he joined hermitcraft back in season 6.

As soon as Mumbo and Scar reached the blonde's base, they wasted no time and immediately went inside his house and straight to his bedroom, where they found Grian wincing at the phantom pain.

"You okay, Love?" Mumbo said, immediately dropping Scar's hand and rushing over to the avian. Scar followed close behind.

"Vindicators suck" Grian simply said in response.

"Well that's what happened when the two of you decided to go off to a woodland mansion and get killed" Mumbo sighed.

"Can we talk about this when I'm not dealing with extreme phantom, Mumbo Jumbolio?" Grian asked, trying not to let out a wince of pain as he said it, "Can we just cuddle instead?"

"Sure, but we will be talking about this. The two of you had me worried the whole time you were gone. Now make room, Love" Mumbo replied.

Slowly, Grian moved over slightly, making room for both his boyfriends. Both of whom immediately took their places on either side of Grian and carefully encased him in their arms. As soon as they did so, Grian fell asleep, with Scar following closely behind. Mumbo on the other hand admired his two lovers, placing a kiss on top of both of their heads. Eventually, the redstoner fell asleep alongside his sleeping boyfriends, being thankful that they both were now back in his arms and not out searching for new additions for the brunettes zoo.
