The table became a little bustle of energy as Lucifer was trying to encourage the kids to talk again.
"Come on...who am I?" He asked as he looked at them, unable to take the smile off his face right now. Alastor waved the waiter down to get the check and some to go boxes so they could get home and show the others.
"Da...." Rosie said as he watched her face focusing some as she tried to get the words out.
"Yes that's it!" He said as he grabbed her hands.
"Come on, just like me..Daddy, you can do it" he said as he tried to encourage her. It took a couple of tries before she finally got it out.
"Da...daddy" she said as Lucifer smiled more.
"Yes that's me!" He said happily as he laughed a little and turned to Alastor.
"She spoke dear! Her first words!" He said as Alastor smiled as well. His heart was warmed as he looked at the scene infront of him, his kids were saying there first words which was phenomenal itself. But the face that Lucifer was making only added to it.
"She did indeed" he said as he motioned for Lucifer to pass her over. Soon holding her in his hands he watched as she looked at him as if thinking.
"What is it sweetie?" He asked, normally she didnt look at him like that. She reached up and did grabbing motions with her hands and still confused, Alastor moved her up closer in the direction she was grabbing at. Moving her up towards his head he was a little surprised when she grabbed at his ears, subconsciously flicking them down away from her hands at the touch before moving them back up. He heard her giggle some as she grabbed onto them again.
"Fla...ffy"
He couldn't help but smile some at this as he looked over at Lucifer.
"...remind you of someone" he said teasingly.
"I have no idea what you're talking about" he said playing innocent on this one. Rosie smiled as she rested her head down onto her hand. Alastor had come a long ways since she first met him, he went from a overlord that tortured souls for fun, to now a family man and a outstanding father towards his kids, She never dreamed in a million years that he would ever settle down with someone and give up his ways, but here it was right in front of her.
The waiter soon returned with the check and the boxes which Lucifer took care of before getting up from his chair.
"Rosie..would you like to take the stroller, perhaps come and join us at the hotel and hang out some more?" He asked as he held the bags of food and Rosie was on top of Alastors head playing with his ears.
"I'd be delighted to" she said as she grabbed onto the stroller which still had Conrad and Austin inside of it. The group left the restaurant and started towards the hotel. Rosie was having fun up on Alastors head, discovering a new game of using Alastors ears as if they was controls for an airplane, pushing and pulling on them like she was trying to steer him around. Alastor was moving around a little matching the movements she was doing, enjoying her little giggles of fun as she was enjoying herself. Lucifer smiled as he watched this and pulled out his phone to take a picture of it.
"You should send me that one later dear" Alastor said as he spun around some getting more giggles from the little lady. They walked up the stairs to the hotel and into the lobby.
"Flight control to Rosie" Lucifer said as he sat the food down.
"Your lined up for runway hazbin delta 5. Time to bring her on down" he said with a smiled as Alastor kneeled down for him. He reached up and gently grabbed her and pulled him off of his head.
"We thank you for flying with us, until next time" he said with a smile as he looked at her.
"Oh, your back already?" Charlie asked as she walked into the room hearing the doors opening and closing.
"I thought you was going out to dinner?" She added in making her way over to them.
"We was, but our dinner was interrupted by some little ducklings" Lucifer said with a little laugh as he turned around towards Charlie.
"Oh no...they not like the restaurant environment?"
"Why don't you ask them" he said with confused Charlie. Austin finally said his first words of the night as Charlie looked at this.
"S..issy!" He said as Charlie gasped out now.
"They said their first words!" She said as she reached down and grabbed Austin from the stroller and picked him up.
"That's me!" She said happily and she held him.
"Seems as if he loves his big sister. That was his first words, the others have said a couple but he's been a little silent"
"Awwww...this is to precious..I wonder when Victoria is going to say her first words"
"It will happen whenever it does, there's no set signs or anything. But when your own kid says it's first words, it's a feeling like nothing else" Lucifer said with a smile as he sat Rosie down on the floor before he grabbed the bags of food and took them to the kitchen to put them up for the night.
"Rosie dear, could I interest you in staying here for the night?" Alastor offered now as he looked over only to see Rosie down on her knees trying to coax the other Rosie. Alastor watched as she was putting her legs down and trying to push herself up.
"Lucifer, come here quick!" He called out to the kitchen.
"One sec, almost done" he called back.
"Now Lucifer!" Alastor called out a little more firm this time, getting the hint that it was something important he left the food where it sat and the fridge doors open as he quickly made his way to living room.
"What is it?" He asked only to follow Al's pointing to see Rosie as she pushed herself up and balanced on her legs. Gasping out at this he rounded the corner of the couch and got his phone out. They all watched as Rosie took her first step...and fell over.
"Come on sweetie, you can do it!" Alastor said as he got down on the floor with her. It took a couple more tries for her to walk the couple of feet over to Rosie who was more then happy to pick her up.
"Look at you go!" She said as she rubbed her head some. There was so much congratulations and praises going on they almost didnt hear a knock on the door.
"I'll get it" Charlie said as she sat Austin down on the floor before walking over and opening it.
"Wasss wondering if you had any vacancccyy's?" came a slithery voice.
