Moving on

Sorry for the wait....again!
(I swear I put this on like every chapter🙄)

Was spending the weekend with my sister so got sidetracked.
I hope you enjoy the story!

Opening the door and slithering inside. He took a breath as he turned and looked over at the desk where all his pictures resides of him and his egg boiz. And almost instantly, the tightness started to return in his chest, and his breathing picked up a little. He was brought from his small trance by a hand on his shoulder though, Looking over, he saw Angel there with a soft smile.
"One step at a time, buddy," Angel said as he supported him. Sir, pentious nodded as he took a few breaths, trying to calm himself a little before moving over towards the desk and reaching down and grabbing onto the first picture. He was holding one of his Egg Boiz in his arms while the others were standing around him.
"I..I just..want to know what happened to them..where they are....If they are suffering or happy" he said as he reached up and wiped a tear away that was threatening to spill.
"Im sure they are missing you just as much as you are Pentious" Charlie chimed in now trying to comfort her friend as she put a hand on his back, she felt for her friend and what he was trying to deal with. Pentious nodded some as he hugged the picture to his chest and took a bit of a shaky breath.
"Im..sure your right" he said without really looking up from the picture, just holding it against himself.
"Do you want a hug?" She asked him, she didnt see any response at first before a small nod that she almost missrd.
"Y..yes" he said before feeling a small pull and a pair of arms wrap around him. He moved and put his head down onto Charlie's shoulder as she held onto him, and for a moment he felt some of the weight being lifted away from his chest. The hug lasted for a little before Charlie let go and gave him her bright smile that she always wore.
"I know things are hard, but you have us to lean on whenever you need to" she said. Lucifer walked over towards the desk and looked at the pictures, probably the closest one who could relate to what Pentious was feeling right now. The depression and sadness he went through when Lilith had abandoned him.
"Its hard to move past someone that you loved so dearly, everything you see makes you think of them, reminds you of something that they did" he said as he thought back to how it felt for him.
"There's not a cure to rid yourself of this feeling" he said as Pentious looked up at him.
"The best you can do is to let go of the past..move on to brighter pastures, dont dwell on the thoughts of where they are, or how they are doing. Instead focus on the memories, cherish the time you had with them. Laugh at the old memories and push through" he said as he looked over at Pentious.
"That is what worked best for me, And the advice all came from a certain demon" he added in as he looked over at Alastor with a warm smile. Al had brought the king from the depths of his dark hole and in the end saved his life. Pentious moved the picture away from his chest and looked at it, it was the first time he had decided to get a portiat painted of them all.
"They never could stay still" he said softly with a small chuckle as he thought back to the day.
"Well..why dont you tell us some stories about them, what the pictures were about?" Vaggie asked as she moved over to the desk beside lucifer and looked at the pictures before grabbing one off the wall. Pentious looked at the picture that she grabbed and couldn't help but laugh a little at it. With everyone's help the room that was once filled with sadness and pain had turned back into joyful laughs as Pentious relived old memories with each passing photo that he was asked about. And for a moment in time he had honestly forgotten about missing his Egg Boiz so much. He soon hung the last picture back up on the wall deciding to leave them there now instead of removing them all and hiding them from his sight. Taking in the advice that Lucifer had given, instead on dwelling on the thoughts and wondering where they was, he now saw them all differently. Each picture reminded him of the good times they all shared. Reaching up and putting his hand on the bigger one that sat propped up on his desk he gave a little smile as his fingers rested against it.
"Until we meet again my friends" he said before turning around and looked at everyone.
"Thank you all...for helping me through this even though I didnt ask for help..it..it meant a lot to me" he said as they returned the smile.
"Dont mention it, it's what family is for" Angel said as he patted his shoulder and Charlie moved in and hugged him again.
"Im just glad that your better now" she said before she let go of him.
"Im gonna go and see if Cherri has arrived yet"
The group left the room and Pentious followed suit, leaving the room standing tall compared to fleeing from it last time.
A couple hours later, Lucifer opened the door to his room after hearing a knock on the door, both him and Alastor had to leave the room earlier along with Vaggie to go and take care of the kids. Lucifer looked at Pentious and smiled at him.
"Hey Pentious, what brings you by?" He asked with a smile.
"I just wanted to come and say...Thank you..the advice you gave me earlier helped me a lot..probably more then anything I've heard all day" he said with a soft smile towards the short king. Lucifer smiled and gave a small nod.
"Im glad I was able to assist...I had spent many years in your predicament, when Lilith had left me..I was lost, had no one I could talk to or anything. So I know the pain you was feeling."
"Does...it ever go away?" Pentious asked now as he put his hands together. Lucifer gave a soft smile as he realized why Pentious had came to his room this late, being the only one that could relate to his problems.
"The pain never truly leaves you. All you can do is find a way to cope with it, for me, my coping mechanism was Charlie and Alastor. Charlie is my entire world but without Al, I never wouldve opened my eyes and realized what I was missing by shutting everyone out" he said as he closed the door behind him and stood in the hallway with Pentious.
"It will take Time...but as time goes by it will get easier to deal with, until then, my door is always open if you need to talk about it" he said as Pentious nodded.
"Thank you...for the advice and offer" he said with a nod of appreciation as he listened to the kings words.
"Anytime...say Pentious, have you ever held a kid?" Lucifer asked now as he looked at up at him, watching him shake his head some.
"Well...why dont we go and properly introduce you to the kids then?" He asked as Pentious smiled some. Though a little nervous as it's true, he's never held a kid in his life.
"Id...I'd like that" he said softly as Lucifer opened the door.
