After taking countless pictures and enjoying a hearty meal, Keilani drove Sapnap to the airport. "I'll miss you," she said, glancing at him as they pulled into the terminal. He smiled, a hint of tenderness in his eyes. "Clay should visit you next. I bet you'd cry if he left."
She scoffed, shaking her head. "No way. I'd just trap him or something."
Sapnap raised an eyebrow. "You're in love with him."
The latter hummed for a minute. "Probably," she admitted with a casual shrug, opening the trunk to get Sapnap's bags out.
"Just 'probably'?" he teased, crossing his arms. "It's pretty obvious." Keilani chuckled, her cheeks flushing slightly. "Okay, whatever. He's funny and nice—he just gets me."
"Well, I'll tell him you're madly in love with him when I get back home," Sapnap joked, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "We'll be waiting for you to visit someday."
"I'll be there," she smiled, her heart racing at the thought.
They hugged tightly, the warmth of their friendship surrounding them as they said goodbye. Keilani watched as Sapnap disappeared through security, a sense of emptiness settling in as his flight took off.
It wasn't often she spent time with anyone outside of Cassie, and those moments felt rare and precious. The vibrant energy they shared lingered in her mind, making her realize just how much she valued his presence. She truly loves her friends.
Once she got home, she took off her jacket and shoes, then pulled out her phone to text Dream.
