The first two days of TwitchCon were a whirlwind of fun for the four of them. Dream met countless fans and creators, though it became overwhelming at times.

Lani got to meet many of their mutual friends, along with a few people who enjoyed her music. However, she didn't attend the event often, her nerves getting the better of her—half-jokingly convinced someone might throw a rock at her just for being friends with their favorite streamers. So, she often spent her time in the hotel room, binge-watching anime Sapnap had recommended, or quietly exploring Albany by herself.

On the third and final day, Dream, Sapnap, and George—mainly Dream—decided to host a small party in their hotel room. They figured the space was big enough, and they thought it would be a great opportunity to connect with other content creators. Sapnap suggested bringing drinks to make things 'exciting.' George, without a second thought, agreed.

Dream was hesitant at first. He hadn't been drunk in a long time, like, a really long time. But eventually, he thought, fuck it. If there was ever a time to let loose, it was now. He'd just done his face reveal and attended his first-ever TwitchCon. If anyone deserved to have some fun tonight, it was him.

As the evening went on, more and more people—both familiar and unfamiliar—poured into the hotel room. It didn't take long for the space to feel crowded. Lani stuck close to the people she already considered friends, figuring it would be far more enjoyable than trying to mingle with a new crowd who probably had no idea who she was.

She caught a glimpse of Dream across the room, his face lit up with pure joy as he chatted animatedly with a group of new people. He seemed to be the center of attention, and she couldn't help but smile. He deserved this, deserved to let loose, even if it was just a party in a hotel room.

George and Sapnap were mingling too, though they mostly stuck to familiar faces like Sam and Foolish, sharing drinks and inside jokes in their little circle.

Lani stayed near them for a while before Tina and Gia called her over. She joined them in a cozy corner of the room, where Tina was sipping from a half-full plastic cup while animatedly talking, and Gia sat beside her, listening intently.

"So, how're you and Dream?" Tina asked with a giggle, setting her red solo cup on the floor. It was almost tradition at this point, every conversation with any of their friends seemed to circle back to whether she and Dream had finally made things official.

"We're fine," Lani replied with a soft hum. "We haven't talked much tonight, obviously. He's busy, but we're good!" she added, a small smile playing on her lips. Tina nodded with a little smile as the three kept talking.

An hour or two passed, Lani wasn't entirely sure anymore. The tipsiness had set in, leaving her sense of time a little fuzzy. What she did know was that Tina had fallen asleep, now slumped over in Gia's lap, while Gia herself looked like she was barely holding on to consciousness.

A few people had already left, but there were still a handful lingering. Lani rubbed her eyes, feeling the weight of the night settling in. Looking at her friends, she decided it was time to take them to their rooms, knowing they'd be more comfortable there. She gently left the two with cold, refilled bottles of water for the morning before slipping back into the lively chaos of the party.

When Lani returned, the scene in the room was a blur to her half-asleep, hazy mind. People were giggling at nothing, lost in drunken conversations, while others were starting to drift off to sleep. A few were flirting, their voices low and playful, and the rest were just talking, the buzz of the room still alive despite the growing exhaustion.

More and more began to leave, until there were about only 12 people left, half being their friends and the other being unfamiliar content creators. She was growing tired, her head ached, she missed her bed. She decided to go and find her friends, hoping that would wake her a little.

Lani spotted Dream standing in a corner, looking mildly awkward. A girl skipped over to him, and from her perspective, their conversation flowed smoothly, like they had been talking earlier.

Lani stood there for a moment, feeling like the lead in a cheesy Hallmark film, watching the male lead with someone else. But she was too exhausted to even react. Blinking sleepily, she turned and walked away, deciding to leave them be.

Lani found Sapnap sitting on a sofa in the corner of the room. She sat down next to him with a tired sigh.

"Hi," she mumbled.

"Tired?" Sapnap asked, his voice soft. She nodded, offering a small hum in response.

"I can take you back to our room," he offered, but she didn't immediately respond. "I'll leave when you do."

Lani rubbed her eyes. "Are you sure?" Sapnap asked, glancing at her. She nodded again. The two of them sat in a comfortable silence, the quiet chatter of the room buzzing around them. After a moment, Sapnap broke the silence. "Did you have fun?"

Lani shrugged. "More or less," she paused before speaking again. "It was fun, I didn't really meet anyone new, but y'know."

Sapnap was pretty drunk himself, the room spinning just a little as they sat in silence. After a while, Lani broke it. "You know the girl Dream was with?" Sapnap turned to look at her, as if he hadn't heard her the first time. Keilani sighed. "The girl. The one Dream was talking to?"

Sapnap thought for a moment before nodding. "Yeah, she's kinda hot," he slurred, his words slightly sloppier than usual.

Lani fought the urge to roll her eyes at his drunken comment. "Eugh," she scoffed, clearly unimpressed. Sapnap side-eyed her before grinning mischievously. "You're so jealous," he teased, poking her side.

"I am not," she contradicted, swatting his hand away, her brows furrowing in frustration. "I don't care, he can sleep with whoever he wants, he deserves to have fun." Lani crossed her arms in an obstinate manner.

"Who said anything about them sleeping together?" Sapnap mimicked the way Lani had crossed her arms, a playful smirk on his face. The latter shot him a look, one that clearly asked if he was being serious or not.

"It's a party, they're drunk—probably flirting. They'll most definitely have sex. But good for him, he's finally getting laid after being trapped in a house for so long," she joked, trying to ease the tension in the conversation with a light laugh. Sapnap chuckled at her joke, but then his expression shifted to something more.. serious. "It's probably a one-night stand, though. Don't worry, he'll be back worshipping the ground you walk on tomorrow. He's just... exploring."

"No, yeah- I know," Lani replied with a shrug, trying to brush it off. "It doesn't matter anyway, it's not like he's my dog and I have full control of what he does." She chuckled, then stood up. "I'm going to bed now. You coming?"

Sapnap nodded, trailing behind her in silence. The two entered their hotel room without a word, too tired to say anything more. Without hesitation, they both collapsed into bed, the exhaustion from the long day pulling them into a peaceful silence.
