027. pretty obvious!

Tina and Foolish arrived in California a bit earlier than Keilani had anticipated, but she didn't mind and warmly welcomed their arrival.

The pair were staying at a hotel only 30 minutes from Lani's house, making it easy for them to visit without the hassle of a long drive. After settling in the hotel for an hour or two, they went to Lani's.

She greeted them with warm hugs and a wide grin. While she wasn't as close to Tina and Foolish as she was to Sapnap and George, she saw this as a perfect chance to become closer. Lani was hospitable, instantly made them feel welcome. "Do you guys want any snacks or something?" She offered.

"It's okay, thank you though," Tina said sweetly. Lani then turned to Foolish to see if he wanted anything.
"I could go for some chips, if that's okay," he said with a smile. Lani headed to the kitchen to grab a bag of Cheetos.

Foolish and Lani lounged comfortably on her couch as both her cats slept on her lap, their conversation flowing easily. Meanwhile, Tina had settled on the floor, leaning back against the couch, a smile on her face. It wasn't awkward at all. Lani happily suggested various places they could explore together, tossing out ideas for fun activities and mentioning some of the city's best restaurants. "Oh, you know a good one? There's an art gallery like, 15 minutes away. It's my favorite." Lani smiles.

They chatted for a few moments longer, sharing light laughter and stories, until Foolish shifted the conversation. "How's Dream, by the way?" he asked, a curious glint in his eye.

Lani paused, slightly puzzled by the unexpected question. "Oh, um—he's fine, I think," she replied, a smile tugging at her lips. "Why do you ask?"

"I mean, it was pretty obvious you two are dating!" Tina giggled, her eyes sparkling with mischief. Lani's eyes widened in shock. "Wh—no! No—no, we aren't," she sputtered, her cheeks flushing a deep shade of crimson.

Tina laughed harder, clearly enjoying Lani's flustered reaction. "Come on, Lani! You can tell us!" The brunette giggled.

Lani fidgeted, crossing her arms as she tried to defend herself. "It's not like that! We're just friends. Really! I mean, sure, he confessed and I did too, but..." She trailed off, her mind racing with their memories.

"Just friends?" Foolish raised an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced. "Sapnap told me he was almost always the topic of every conversation you two had when he was here, plus, he told me that Dream's practically smitten."

"Sapnap's a little bitch, not everything he says is true," Lani defended herself before continuing. "But I'll admit, maybe there's a little more there," Lani admitted, biting her lip as she weighed her words. "But I think we're not ready to label it, you know? Things can get complicated. Plus, I don't even know what he looks like, he could be catfishing me and forced Sapnap to lie."

"Well, maybe you could ask!" Tina suggested, the girl has thought of that but didn't want to catch Dream off guard. "Maybe," Lani hums.
