It's been three days since Lani moved to New York, and she's still getting settled in. She has some furniture placed around her apartment, and she likes it here. There aren't many residents on her floor, except for a kind old lady who welcomed her on the first day and a middle-aged man who always looks like he's fueled by stress and caffeine.
She sat on the hardwood floor, Miso cuddled up to her chest, purring. She missed her friends and family, despite knowing that living here was something she had always looked forward to.
