Chapter 15

Yoongi started the day shooting a quick good morning text to Kat and letting her know he was going to his studio. As he entered the company's building, he saw Yuna heading towards him. He entered the elevator and tried to close the doors to stop her from entering, but luck wasn't on his side. Yuna entered with a victorious smile and stood next to him.

"You know, that's not the polite way of treating your ex-girlfriend. You should try to be kinder."

"I'd be kind if you weren't such a pain in my ass"

She turned to look at him and screeched. "EXCUSE ME?? What's your problem Min Yoongi?"

"My problem is you. I thought that was clear enough by now" Yoongi wasn't one to lose his cool easily, but Yuna profoundly pissed him off.

"I heard you have a girlfriend now, and you almost got into a scandal. Good thing I stepped up to help you cover it"

"You had no business in going to Bang PD and accepting this whole dating rumor ordeal, you'll just do whatever for money and fame." Yuna was pushing the right buttons, Yoongi was clearly pissed. At this point he was wondering why the elevator was taking so long, and why did the Hybe building have to have so many floors.

"Maybe I did it for a little cash, but I also miss you. I miss us!" She tried to grab his hand, but he was faster than her, pulling his hand away.

"You're delusional as fuck! There's no us, there never was actually. We were never that serious."

"Like that little skank is anything serious." she rolled her eyes in disdain. "Please, be for fucking real. I know you, you're not the kind of guy to settle down!"

"I'll have you know that she's going to be the one I'll marry." The elevator finally stopped, and Yoongi could finally breathe. He could not believe he used to mess around with Yuna.

"We'll see..."

Once he got to his studio Jungkook noticed his frown and asked him what was wrong. Instead of working right away on the track they were supposed to, their time was spent venting. Yoongi thought she would've gotten over him by now, but that clearly wasn't the case. He was disappointed in his younger self, for ever having such low standards. Was Yuna pretty? Yes, but that was the only redeeming quality to her. And even then, her personality was so bad that not even her looks could save her.

The rest of the day went by relatively fast. He was thankful Yuna didn't bother him again, the last thing he wanted to deal with were her stupid fits.

When he got home, he was so tired from having such a stressful day, that he went right to sleep. Didn't shower, didn't eat, much less did he even check his phone. He just wanted the day to end.

On the other end of the world his girlfriend was worried. The last text he sent her was a good morning text and after that he had been radio silent. And normally, she'd just accept that he was busy, and move on, but a text from Jungkook made her feel differently.

[Jungkook, 11:25]: Hey, you might wanna check on Yoongi hyung. Yuna got under his skin today at work, and he's all pissed

She tried calling and sent Yoongi a text asking about it, but she never heard back from him.

The next morning, once Yoongi picked up his phone to look at the time, he noticed Kat's missed calls and unread texts.

"Shit..." He decided to facetime her, despite him looking like a mess.

Her face popped on his screen, and he felt a wave of relief wash over him. "Hey baby, good morning"

"Good morning to you too, mister «I'll ignore my girlfriend all day» "

"I'm sorry, I just had some shit happen in the morning, and then I drowned myself in work to forget about it. When I got home I was so fucking tired I completely forgot to check my phone. I'm really sorry baby"

"Jungkook told me something happened between you and Yuna?" Kat asked hesitantly.

"OH, right, yeah- she tried to start some shit up in the elevator. It's okay now, though. I told her off."

"For how much longer do you think you'll need to put up with her."

"It'll be a month at least until the production of her track and the MV is finished. But I'll just avoid her as much as possible. I've been working alone from my studio, and just sending the stems out to the production team. They do the rest."

"Can't your agency do something? She clearly interferes with your work!"

"I tried, but they wouldn't listen. It's okay though, nothing will happen." Yoongi saw her yawning on the other side. "Hey, if you're tired you can just go to sleep I understand!"

"Thanks babe, love you. I'll talk to you tomorrow."

"Bye, love you too!"

After that incident Yoongi resumed his normal routine, only now he was pestered by Yuna almost daily. There were a few more incidents in which the guys had to step in, in order to save his ass, or otherwise Yuna would've done something bad. He attempted to get Bang's approval to be left out of the project, but his boss kept insisting it was a great opportunity to connect the fan bases and profit more. In fact, Bang thought the single had gone so well, that he insisted they do a second one, essentially trapping Yoongi in yet another month of dealing with bullshit.

Yoongi was fed up to say the least. This situation made things more uncomfortable between him and Kat. Since this project was sucking any energy he had left in him, he often would neglect his girlfriend. He couldn't travel to the U.S. because their schedule was packed, and whenever Kat would come visit he still couldn't pay her full attention, because he had deadlines to follow.

Kat knew she had to be understanding, but with Yoongi going back to his old habits of not replying to texts, and his ex being on his ass at work, she was feeling neglected and a little insecure. She knew that Yoongi wouldn't betray her trust, but sometimes she found herself doubting that. This was especially true on a certain instance, when she got an unexpected text from Hoseok.

[Hobi🥺, 14:05]: Kat, promise not to flip

[Hobi🥺, 14:05]: But something happened with Yoongi today

[Hobi🥺, 14:06]: It's about Yuna

Kat had to find out through someone else that Yuna broke into the Genius Lab and was trying to touch Yoongi inappropriately. They couldn't hear his screaming, because the walls are soundproof, and it took Yoongi a couple of minutes until he was able to successfully unlock his door and get as far away as possible from Yuna.

Good news is, immediately after the incident, the company agreed it was best to fire Yuna, and Yoongi put a restraining order against her.

When Kat called her boyfriend, to find out more and see how he was doing she scolded him for not saying something sooner, and how wrong it felt to have someone else deliver the news. Yoongi just brushed it off and said that it was no big deal, and all that mattered was the situation was handled and couldn't bother them anymore.

Yoongi was a good man, but his communication skills were seriously lacking. It bothered Kat more than she let on. After getting rid of Yuna, his behavior went back to normal, texting his girlfriend as regularly as his work allowed him too. That eased Kat's worries a little.

Eventually things went back to normal, and Yoongi was able to visit her, and the same with her. She went back to visiting Korea in regular intervals, often meeting with Yoongi's parents too.
