After Yoongi left that day, Kat locked herself inside of the house and never left the entire weekend. After Yoongi told Eddie what happened between him and Kat, and when she did not reply to their texts, the members got worried and decided to check on her.

When they got to her house, they found her once again on her bathroom floor crying while sad songs played in the distance, only this time the water wasn't running. They tried getting her to go leave the bathroom to eat and get some rest, but she wouldn't budge. Zeke and Mike were very patient, Eddie on the other hand was fed-up. She wouldn't be in this mess, had she not rushed into a relationship with Kurt. Had she listened to them, she wouldn't be going through this again.

"Oh, come on! Just stop your crying, get your ass up and go eat something!"

"EDDIE! She's going through something. Shut your fucking mouth if you don't know how to help! You're being rude!"

"RUDE!?? How many more times do we have to find her like this, for her to understand that if you're hurting from a breakup, the solution isn't to just jump into a new relationship! It's not like we didn't warn her."

"I did not just jump into this relationship!" She yelled back, eyes throwing daggers at him. Her words triggered Eddie to just say everything he had been holding back for months.

"Oh really!? After just one month of getting to know the guy better, you guys were already officially a couple! Look, I understand that the relationship with Yoongi didn't work, but if you were so in love with him, you should've gone to fucking therapy instead of dragging someone else into your fucking mess, hoping it would get your mind off Yoongi. Now what you can't do is sit your ass here crying and pretend that you're a victim. You're not. If anything, you're just a stubborn idiot. Everyone around you could see you weren't ready to move on, and we warned you time after time after time, yet you didn't listen!"

"Eddie, I think that's enough. Just shut the fuck up, man." Zeke tried to stop him.

"No, it isn't. I know these guys don't have the balls to tell you things how they are, but I have. I love you, I really do, and you're like a little sister to me. But your suffering was caused by no one else but you. And if you really want to end that suffering, then you have to work on yourself, not go around looking for the next dick you're gonna sit on. And now, you know what!? I don't want you to just break up with Kurt. No, that isn't enough. You need to see a fucking therapist and heal ALONE, or you will continue to wallow in your own suffering." His heart was racing after he told her how he really felt. Eddie cared for Kat, but sometimes he felt like there was no way of getting through that thick skull of hers. So desperate to get her to understand him, he let it all out, not caring how he would come across. Kat was still silent, taking his outburst in as she thought about her life choices lately.

"You're right, I am hurting because I never really addressed the breakup with Yoongi. I should get help." She got up and stared at her friends like she just had an epiphany.

"THANK YOU! And sorry for being harsh, but I feel like it was needed to get through that thick skull of yours." Eddie hugged her. "I just want you to be happy and healthy, it hurts me to see you miserable. But you just never fucking listen to us!"

"No, I'm sorry! I'm really sorry that I keep dragging you guys into my personal life. I never meant to"

"It's okay, we'll always be here for you no matter what" Mike said, as he pulled everyone into a group hug.

Kurt had called and texted multiple times, but she just replied with one simple text saying, "We need to talk, come by my house tomorrow at 5 pm".

As soon as Kurt read that, he knew what was going to happen. The cold, impersonal tone of the message let him know that she was probably looking to cut all ties. The thought made him sad, but he had to admit he always knew they were not in it for the long run.

He saw how Kat would react whenever she came across a post about Yoongi. He noticed how she would often not reciprocate his affection. How she avoided his gaze when she said she loved him. He could feel how hollow those words were when she said them. Yet, he let himself believe that it was all in his head, and she did in fact love him.

He dreaded having this conversation, but he couldn't avoid it forever. So, he drove to her house anyway. He entered it, and there she was, sitting on the couch just looking at her hands lost in thought.

"Hey liebe, you wanted to see me?"

"Yes, have a seat please."

"I have been thinking and I came to the conclusion that we should break up."

"I was expecting this... Is it because of my band's controversy or is it still him?"

"Both..." She let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. "I don't feel safe around you and your band mates."

"Honestly, I'm hurt that you feel that way about me. You know that I would never harm you, right?"

"Yes but being around that type of environment again can get me addicted again. Besides, I can tell sometimes that you have been doing coke. I know you hide it as much from me as you can, but I'm not dumb. And I can't risk my health..."

"What about him? Yoongi. This is also about him, isn't it?"

"A little... I don't think it's fair to waste your time, when I'm aware I'll never love you like I love him "

"I am sad, but I can't say I'm surprised... Anyone could tell you weren't really over him." He gave her a sad smile.

"You're a good man, Kurt. And I tried to love you, I really did. But love should come naturally, it shouldn't be something you have to 'try' to make it happen."

"I see..." He chuckled bitterly. "I do love you, hope you know that. But if you don't feel the same, I can't force you. My love was always real. I uh, I hate that you never loved me, but I'm grateful that I got a chance to know you better. You're really an incredible woman, never forget that."

"You're an amazing man too Kurt. One day you'll be truly loved by someone truly special, but that someone just isn't me. The heart knows what it wants, and unfortunately for me, it wants something that could never work."

"How can you be so sure it'll never work?"

"The working hours, the long distance. It's too much."

"We have the same exact problems, but we made it work though." Kat fell silent. He was right, but how could it work with him, and go so disastrously wrong with Yoongi?

"But we had the freedom to just be public with our relationship, we never had to hide it. It doesn't work that way with him. It'll never work with him; I'm just destined to be single until the day I die."

There was a very long pause, the tension so thick you could cut it with a knife. "Well, so this is goodbye?"

"It is... I wish you the best Kurt"

"Best of luck to you too, and don't rob yourself of the opportunity to fall in love again. You're still young, you have a life ahead of you. It's too early for you to say you'll be single forever."

Kat felt like shit. She didn't love Kurt the same way she did Yoongi, but she still cared about him a lot. He did make her happy, but sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants, and you can't do anything about it. She thought back to every good moment they had, how he would drop whatever he was doing just to be with her. How he always asked her if she ate and cared for her and her health. He was a sweetheart, and deep down she felt like he had nothing to do with his band's lead-singer's scandals.

She would be lying if she said she wouldn't miss him. But she always missed Yoongi more, he was always in the front of her mind. And it wasn't fair of her to keep Kurt trapped in a relationship where his love wasn't reciprocated.

She was probably cursed, none of her past relationships ever seemed to work. Some were the wrong person at the wrong time, some were the wrong person at the right time, and Yoongi fit in the category of "right person, wrong time".

She couldn't catch a break, so it was probably best if she stopped dating altogether. In fact, the more she thought about it, the more she grew accustomed to the idea. Yoongi was her true love, true soulmate, she was sure of it now. But the circumstances made it impossible for them to ever work. As soon as she got inside, she grabbed her laptop and started searching for therapists near her. It was about time she started her healing journey.
