Yoongi woke up the next morning to the sounds of Kat cooking something in the kitchen. The smell of food filling his nostrils and making his stomach grumble. He got up from bed and made his way into the kitchen.
"Heyyy! Did you sleep well?"
"I slept like a rock! Don't know what kind of magic you put in your mattresses, but your beds are always super comfy and make me relax instantly."
"I always make sure to get the best mattresses, especially for the guest bedrooms. I just want to be a good host, ya know."
"What are you making? Smells good in here!" He said closing his eyes, and really taking in the smell
"I've made fresh bread this morning, some croissants, and I have some custard tarts in the oven right now. They should be ready any minute now. I've also made fresh coffee, the iced one is in the fridge, and there's some hot coffee in the thermos."
"Custard tarts, I love those! And I also love croissants! Isn't that a French pastry though?"
"It is, but my mom was French, so I got a recipe from my grandma. "
"Wait, your mom was not Spanish?"
"Nope" she said, popping the P's. "My mom was born and raised in France, but left everything and moved out here after she met my father in the 80's."
"Wow... I feel like I'm learning more about you in one trip, than I did in months!"
"I guess it's because now it doesn't bother me to talk about my family and my childhood... My therapist helped me process my thoughts and emotions, so I don't feel the need to detach from them. Before it used to sting like a bitch, just to think about my parents, let alone talk about them."
"I like this. I like seeing you so carefree and happy. It suits you."
"You also look happier! What's got you smiling like that?"
"I released my album, I filmed a documentary, soon I'm starting my solo tour. I don't know, I think I'm just excited! This is something I have never done, and now it feels surreal to be doing it! I also get to enjoy some days off out here with you, away from all the commotion and the stress of the city."
An alarm went off, diverting Kat's attention to the oven. She opened it up and carefully pulled out the cake molds "I hope you're hungry for some fresh custard tarts, because they're ready!!"
They had breakfast together while they talked, then they got changed and went outside, so Kat could show Yoongi her mini farm.
"Here we have the chicken coop. Be careful though, some of them are not as friendly as they look. Isn't that right Mr. Enrique Egglesias!"
Yoongi let out a laughter. "I love the names you keep giving them!"
They kept walking until they reached a large field with various fruit trees. Everything from pears to mangoes and even tangerines.
"Wow, you'd instantly get rich in Korea with this many fruit trees!!"
"Do you want some? We can even make smoothies if you want."
"That'd be great! Hey, is that a tangerine tree?"
"Yeah why?"
"I LOVE TANGERINES!!"
"I would give you some, but it isn't tangerine season yet."
"Ah that's too bad! You know fruit is really expensive in Korea, and you just have this right at your doorstep. Fresh fruit all year round!"
"I'll deliver some to you myself, when the tangerines are ripe. I'll fly out to Korea and bring you some."
"I'll be waiting then. If you don't do that, then I'll fly here and steal them myself."
