"Morning!" Kat said as she entered the kitchen yawning. Yoongi was already up and making her coffee.

"Morning. How did you sleep?"

"Like a baby! Hadn't slept that well in a while!"

"How do you feel? Are you tired? Did I take it too far last night?"

"No, you were amazing Yoongi. I am ever so slightly sore, but that's because I'm not that used to this anymore."

"Are Spanish men you know..." He looked down, and shyly laughed. "...well equipped?"

"They kinda are, I mean, nothing like you but good. The problem is, they don't know how to use it. Anyway, let's change the subject! What are you doing up so early?" he smiled proudly, before changing the subject, decided he wouldn't tease her anymore.

"I'm making you breakfast."

"You really shouldn't have! This is your vacation; you should be resting while I make you breakfast!"

"It's okay, I like cooking. Especially for you."

"You're too sweet!"

"So," he started while turning his attention back to the stove. "What do you have in mind for today?"

"We could go out if you want, but I saw you brought your guitar and your laptop with you, so you're probably expecting to work on some music while you're here. I don't have a big fancy studio like I used to, but I think you'll enjoy it anyway!"

"You know me so well! It's incredible, how even after all these years you can still read me like an open book."

Once Yoongi was done cooking, they had breakfast and headed to Kat's room. They spent the night prior in one of the guest rooms, so he had yet to see her studio that took over half of Kat's bedroom. As soon as Yoongi entered the room, he couldn't stop looking around. While before Kat had dozens of guitars, all of her instruments now were no more than a few. There were no amplifier racks taking up space in the room, only a small practice amp. And where before she had a giant desk with racks full of analog gear, such as compressors and EQ's, all of it was gone.

She now had a smaller, simpler desk with just a computer, midi keyboard, audio interface, and some studio monitors on it.

"So, what did you do to all your gear?" he asked while looking around, noticing all the missing components of the home studio she previously had.

"I sold and gave most of it to the guys. Eddie kept the basses, Mike got most of the guitars and my outboard gear. I brought as little as possible with me. Especially now that I'm always travelling back and forth between Spain and LA, I need my stuff to be as portable as possible."

"So you're working in the box now?"

"Yup, and if I don't like the result and really want that analog sound, then I can just re-record everything once I visit LA again."

"This setup is nice too, I think it's simple, but enough to make great sounding music!" he turned to look at her, immediately noticing how excited she looked to be showing him her new setup. His heart wanted to melt, with the way she proudly stood there talking about her new music gear, looking like a kid showing off their new toy they got for Christmas.

"Exactly! You don't need a giant Neeve console to make a hit! The computer, an interface and some monitors are enough."

Yoongi chuckled and looked at Kat with his signature smirk. "We sound like two nerds talking about gear!"

"We do, but it's part of why we were so good together. We were passionate about the same things."

His heart stung a little at the thought of them together. He was thankful that they could at least go back to being friends, but he missed being her boyfriend and being able to call her his. A day did not go by without him thinking about how had he not neglected her, they could've gotten married by now.

"By the way I brought this acoustic guitar over because I want you to sign it as well. It's the one I'll be bringing on tour, and that way I can always bring you with me." He said pulling an orange guitar out of his bag. The top was scribbled with what looked like the other BTS members' signatures.

"Wow... this is filled with signatures already, where would I even sign?"

"On the back, that way you'll be closer to my heart as I play the guitar."

"Oh Yoongi..."

"As a friend of course, nothing more!" He quickly tried to defend himself, once he realized how it sounded. He did love her, but he also knew that to her that ship had already sailed, so he didn't want to sound pushy about it. Luckily, Kat didn't push him further, and instead just took the pen from him and signed the guitar.

"Great, now can we start?"

"Yeah, of course!"

They spent the rest of the day working on ideas, getting so focused to the point of not eating or making any pauses that could compromise the creative flow they had going on. It felt just like old days, when they used to meet to work on songs together. Everything felt the same, except there was this atmosphere between the two, like a feeling of bittersweetness at times. Things were almost just like they were in the past, but now they had a lot more history behind them, one that could be difficult to ignore at times. Whether that be because of something one of them said that brought back a memory, or the continuous glances they'd give each other.

Kat was always more discreet when she looked at Yoongi, however she was just as guilty of stealing glances. But she wouldn't say it was because of feelings resurfacing. She would describe it as pure sexual tension. She had always had a thing for men with long hair, and Yoongi's new hair was awakening something within her. Or at least that's what she told herself.

"So, if you sold all of your stuff, what happened to your car then? I know how much you liked it."

"I needed to sell it, but I didn't want to just sell it to a random dude and never see the car ever again. So, I actually sold it to Eddie. Which probably means that by now, that car has seen more pussy than a toilet seat at a women's public restroom has."

"C'mon, you're making it sound like he is a manwhore. I don't see Eddie doing that."

"Okay, maybe now he's slowed down a bit, but I've rarely ever seen him with the same girl twice. The last time I saw him get in a relationship?" She scoffed playfully. "God! I don't even think I was legally allowed to drink yet!" She laughed.

"But in all seriousness, I know that his last relationship, she was the one that got away for him... Things didn't really work out, and I've never seen him so heart broken in his life. She was a sweetheart, really, and he was head over heels, but life has its twists and turns, and they had to break up. Ever since then he's avoided committed relationships like the plague!"

"Can you blame him though?"

"No, I know how it feels... But if I were him, I wouldn't mindlessly waste my time on hookups like him."

"That's his way to cope." He shrugged. "Personally, I think I'd still try maybe just once. Like, let the dust settle down, and then try another relationship. If it doesn't work then yeah, I too would stay away from relationships."

"I think I'd keep trying to date, I mean, eventually someone good will come around, right?"

"Cut the bullshit!! It's very clear that you're more the type to adopt a bunch of cats and withdraw from any social interactions!" Yoongi laughed.

"Hey!! I just adopted one cat, it's not my fault he brought a friend home! I didn't have any choice on the matter. And I told you I am dating, just haven't had any luck so far. But my prince charming is right around the corner, I can feel it!!"
