AN: DONT FORGET TO VOTE FOR MORE CHAPTERS
Sunlight poured through the tall windows of the grand hall, illuminating the gathered guests in a warm glow. Alessia stood with her family, her heart racing as she took in the scene before her. The judge, Richard, and Rory entered from a side door, taking their places at the front. The congregation turned, anticipation rippling through the crowd, as Lorelai made her entrance, walking down the stairs with a radiant smile, catching Luke's eye and giving him a quick wink.
Alessia felt a mix of warmth and unease watching Rory beam at Logan from across the room. A girl sitting next to him leaned in, whispering something that made Logan laugh. The sound stung, but Alessia pushed the feeling aside. She had her own worries to navigate today.
"May you all be seated, please," the judge announced. As the guests settled, Alessia glanced at Lorelai, who was deep in conversation with Luke, her mother's laughter ringing in the air.
"I have known Richard and Emily Gilmore for twenty years now," the judge began, his voice steady. "They are two of the most formidable opponents the world has ever seen."
Alessia couldn't help but admire the couple at the front, so clearly in sync. "They complement each other, defend each other. They were made for each other. And today, in front of friends and family, Richard and Emily have chosen once again to say to each other, 'I choose you.'"
Alessia's thoughts drifted during the ceremony. This day was meant to celebrate love, yet she felt like an outsider, lost in a swirl of family dynamics and unspoken tensions.

The joyous music and laughter filled the reception hall, a stark contrast to Alessia's swirling thoughts as they entered.
"Look at those flower arrangements. This must've cost a fortune! They're real orchids," Luke remarked, eyes wide as he took in the lavish setup.
"Just wait until you see the cake. It's basically a work of art," Lorelai replied, her excitement palpable.
"I'll meet you guys at our table later," Alessia said, slipping away from their banter, feeling somewhat adrift in the celebration.
As she walked away, Alessia spotted Chris making his way through the crowd. He spotted her and smiled, his eyes lighting up.
"There you are! I've been looking for you," he said, reaching her side.
"Hey, Dad. Just trying to figure out where I fit in all of this," Alessia replied, glancing at the mingling guests.
"Fitting in is overrated," he said with a hint of mischief. "You'd be amazed at how many of these people feel just as lost as you do."
"Really?" Alessia raised an eyebrow, intrigued.
"Absolutely. I overheard someone earlier bragging about their pet iguana," Chris said, shaking his head. "And here we are, pretending to be sophisticated adults."
