After changing, having breakfast and phoning Taki to make sure he's okay for them to go over right now, Jay and y/n hopped in the car and headed to Taki's apartment where he lives with a couple roommates. "Is your head okay?" Jay asked his sister. "Yeah much better, thanks." she smiled to herself, greatful for having such a caring brother.
Once they arrived, they knocked on the door and waited a couple seconds for someone to answer. The door got pulled open and it was Jo, one of Taki's roommates.
"Hey, Jo." y/n and Jay said in unison. "Hey guys, come in. How are you both?" "Good, thanks." Jay said, "not terrible." y/n said. "What about you?" Jay asked Jo. "I'm alright, thanks. Uh, Taki should be in his room right now." Jo said to the siblings. "Thanks Jo." they thanked him and headed up the stairs to Taki's bedroom, greeting another one of his roommates who they ran into along the way.
y/n knocked twice and proposed "it's y/n and Jay" "Come in" they heard from the other side.
Upon stepping in, Taki warmly hugged his girlfriend and got a kiss on the cheek from her, and he dapped Jay up. "So what's up?" he asked, crossing his arms, sitting down on the chair by his desk as the siblings sat down on the edge of Taki's bed.
"Before we say anything, you can confirm that you weren't at the party yesterday, right?" Jay asked him. "Yeah, I told you both I had to work on my portfolio, didn't I?- I'm not tripping am I?" Taki said. "Alright, no you're not tripping. We just wanted to make sure 'cause..."
The two told Taki the whole story and to say the least, he was flabbergasted, in pure disbelief. "That's- why- why can't they get over it? That's bullshit by the way, you're perfect for me y/n, you know that, don't let anyone tell you differently, but why would your two "best friends" stab you in the back like that?" Taki questioned with wide eyes and disbelief in everything. "I assure you I was not at the party kissing a random girl. I would never do that to you. At those times I was literally typing out my portfolio right here."
They both know he's right. It's so easy to tell when Taki's lying and they've known him for several years.
"We trust you, babe, don't worry." y/n says, stroking his arm. "Yeah, of course we do, we just now need to have a chat with Danielle and Hanni now." Jay said.
Just then, a ding was heard from one of their phones.
"Hanni literally just texted me..." Taki said.
Jay's and y/n's eyes widened and they stood up to view Taki's phone screen.
The message read "hey Taki, we haven't talked in a while. How r u and y/n??"
"Our suspicions have pretty much just been confirmed." y/n scoffed.
"Oh I'll tell you how we are" Taki muttered under his breath, making Jay and y/n laugh out loud. It's just something about Taki whenever he's mad, flustered or confused that's so prescious. "Perfectly fine why do u ask" he typed out and sent the message. "Cuz am I not allowed to? Just wanted to check up on my fav couple" she replied.
"Fav couple my ass" y/n muttered. "Why don't you ask her to hang out? Tests her loyalty which she's obviously already proven but still, and we can also surprise her with that 'friendly' chat." Jay suggested. "Alright alright." Taki agreed and asked her if she wants to meet at the bridge, and within seconds came back a message from Hanni that said "ye ofc. see u there in an hour?"
So next thing you know, the three of them are in the car, headed to said bridge just to be deliberately early.
Let's just say by the end, she was sat the fuck down and completely and utterly humbled. "Insanely dense bitch move, Hanni. Oh yeah, and make sure to pass it on to Danielle." were y/n's last firm words before the three of them made their way back to the car. Jay drove his sister back to Taki's place so they could hang out but he went back home to work some more on his project.
That was the last y/n hopes to be becoming friends with people like Hanni and Danielle. It's obviously gonna be hard to move on but she's already taking big steps, plus she's got a lot of better people by her side.
