People display being in a secret relationship easier than it actually is. Don't get me wrong it's not ridiculously hard but it's just the never-ceasing itching desire in your heart telling you to reveal it to everyone. I still love Keeho and not one person knows about our relationship. Not even family or friends, no one. Although I think his and my best friends are catching on.
Why did we decide to hide it you ask? Because Keeho's an idol and we aren't exactly prepared or have even processed the kinds of reactions people are gonna have and what people will say. He's known worldwide and we need to think deeply about the whole thing and talk it out which we haven't exactly got to yet even though we've been together two years now. Let's not forget how strict his company is too. I'm surprised we've even managed to hide it this long.
So at the moment Keeho's got a three off days and he's visiting his family who live in Seoul, only about three quarters of an hour's drive from their dorm and my apartment where I live with my two best friends. I'm having lunch with them when I get a text from Keeho.
Stephan🫨 Babe I have an idea
Me Go on
Stephan🫨 Yk how I've always wanted to show u my home
Me Ye..
"Who is it y/n?" one of my friends asks me while taking a bite of her food. "Keeho. He's just telling me some things I need to know for warm ups." I lied. "Ah I see." she said.
Stephan🫨 Well within the next hour all of my family will be gone and won't be back till late at night..
Me Babe r u sure cuz it's risky
Stephan🫨 Ye we'll have like 5-6 hours to ourselves and I can finally show u my homeee
Me Finee but if we get caught it's ur fault
I'll leave in about ten minutes
Stephan🫨 Yesssss ok see u soon love u
Me Love u toooo
I sighed and hoped to the heavens that one of them doesn't forget something at home because I've timed this just about right. He said within an hour they'll be gone and if I leave in ten minutes it'll take 45 minutes plus potential traffic maximum an hour. I finish my food in no rush and put my dishes in the dishwasher.
"Guys my sister just invited me over 'cause she's bored without her boyfriend home so I'm gonna leave in a few minutes. I'll probably be back before eleven I'd say." "Ooo okay." one of them said "gossip sesh?" "Yeah and probably playing card games as always." I smile, knowing how much me and my sister enjoy playing card games together, gin rummy and Uno specifically. And as nice as that'd be, that's not where I'm going anyway, so.
I went to the toilet and grabbed a water bottle for the trip then said bye to my friends. I texted Keeho to let him know I'm on my way as I got in my car. The ride was great, I listened to music and there was barely any traffic. I parked at the end of Keeho's road when I got there and called him.
"Hey I'm parked at the end of your road. Has everyone left?" I asked him over the phone. "Ok great, my brother's just about to leave. You can start walking down here in about two minutes I'd say. I'll text you when he's left then wait for his car to leave my road." he whispered. "K, see you." I said, hanging up, waiting for his text.
I got it three minutes later then just waited for his younger brother's red ford to drive past me. And as soon as he did, I got out and started walking to his place, a smile spread across my face. We discussed that I wouldn't park in their drive incase something happens and they come back early and see a random car in their drive.
I got there and knocked on his door, to which he almost immediately opened it, engulfing me in a warm hug, and I kissed his cheek too.
We then spent fifteen minutes with him giving me a tour of his house which was super nice. Once that was done, he made us flat whites and we sat on the sofa for a bit. "So what did you tell your friends?" he asked, amused already. "I said I'm going round my sister's for a gossip and game sesh because she's bored without her boyfriend home." I said. "Hah classic." "Haha" I chuckled.
Unexpectedly, the front door opens and his brother steps in. Keeho stands up and I'm there panicked as to what to do. He's seen us now so there's no point trying to hide.
Yechan's frozen and is just looking back and forth between us. "Shit. What are you doing back home? Aren't you supposed to be at an escape room?" Keeho asked his brother. "What's going on?" Timothy ignored his question and was just completely confused. "Um..." I can't even utter a word. "They said we needed ID and none of us had any..." Yechan said, a knowing smirk forming all over his face "but what.. y/n's not just your friend, is she? You two are dating."
Keeho walked round the sofa and grabbed his brother's shoulders. "Listen to me. We've been together for two years. And before you say anything, no one knows. Literally no one, not even my members or her best friends. Not mum or dad, not Anna, not her parents or siblings. And I'm sorry for not telling you, we just weren't prepared for the kind of feedback people would give us. You-" "Bro don't worry, I won't tell anyone." Timothy said, so laid back, shocking both me and Keeho. "but TWO YEARS?"
"Yeah, so sorry dude. You know I would've told you but for all we know you could've accidentally blurted out about it during a live or something." Keeho said. "Yeah, I get that. I'm just shocked. But I respect it and all." he reassuringly smiled at both of us. "So when are you planning on revealing?"
"Well soon hopefully. We've kinda had a talk about it so maybe in the next month or something." Keeho said. "Nice. 'Kay you two have fun, I'm sorry if I interrupted anything but I'm gonna go fetch my ID. See you two later." and with that Timothy jogged upstairs, leaving us two alone again.
"That was terrifying." I said. "Yeah it was."
We laughed about it nevertheless.
We had a lot of fun together in those five hours, watching comedy shows, going on a walk, just chatting. Then it was time for me go back home, and my friends noticed something weird within the first three minutes of my arrival.
"You smell different." one of them said. "What?" I questioned. "You don't usually smell like this when you come back from your sister's house." "Yeah you smell of... cologne." the other said. "That's weird." I brushed it off calmly. "You were with Keeho weren't you? It doesn't take a genius to put a few puzzle pieces together." my friends smiled excitedly.
Oh gosh.
