I was at the train station with my friend because we were hanging out in the city and the station was packed with so many people. We were on the escalator and it wasn't even the chatter but the buzzing of the escalator that was loud, topped by the wind.
Once we got to our platform it wasn't actually that noisy. It was a little packed but not too bad.
Finally, she could tell me what she wanted to say.
Within two minutes the train arrived but I whispered a "fuck my life" to myself when I saw the amount of people increasing the closer the train came to a halt. And our carriage had to be one of the most packed ones.
I made sure to stay close to my friend but I had to stand so close to this one guy, we were like face-to-face and it was the most awkward thing ever.
He was really cute though, I must admit.
He gave me one of those awkward little smiles which I returned as the doors slid shut and the train left, making me almost stumble, but I could catch myself.
This is why I hate the underground ones, they're so shaky. It shook so much at one point that this guy in front of me lost his balance and accidentally stepped on my foot.
He had to yell an apology to overdub the screeching of the train and the wind coming in from slightly open windows at either end of the carriage. But I told him it was fine, since I was already surprised I hadn't embarassed myself by falling over or something.
Two minutes later, what happens? I almost fucking fall over. I fall kind of so that I bash into him but I catch myself and his reflex was to hold me up, so I apologised endlessly. He tried to ask me something but I couldn't hear so he typed it up on his phone.
"What's ur name?" it read. I took it and typed in "y/n wbu". We made a conversation like that for about five minutes when he had to get off at a stop. I almost forgot about my friend when she asked me what that was all about. I told her about it and lightning struck in me when she asked "did you get his number?"
No, of course I fucking didn't. I fucking forgot. Oh my lord, how can I be such a dumbass?!
"No! Fuck, I'm such an idiot!" I face palmed. Then the train left and we could no longer talk. Maybe forever...
That made my entire day a misery.
two weeks later~~
I was walking around the park when I bumped into someone and dropped my phone.
"I'm sorry I should really watch where I'm goi-" "Oh my God, I'm sorry, I didn't realise-"
Our speech clashed as we looked at eachother then both froze.
"Are you-" I asked. He looked like the guy from the train. Felix, his name was. "It's you! y/n! From the train! No way, you live round here?" he beamed. "Yeah, do you?!" I asked. "No I live in the city next door. I'm just here out of boredom if I'm honest." he said. "Ah, okay. That's such a coincidence! I thought I'd never see you again and I was so mad that I didn't atleast get your number or something!"
"Yeah, me too. Let's do it now!" he said, whipping out his phone.
So we exchanged numbers and from that day on we chatted A LOT. Guess you can say my stomach flutters everytime I see a notification from him pop up.
