~~104: xikers Junmin x BOYNEXTDOOR Sungho - More than Idols~~

a/n: hi so this is my first request and it's from @xiteez so I hope u guys like it cuz it was a rlly good idea :)) btw soz for the long wait, I had exams 😭

Sungho's POV
We're at MNET and I'm about to go do a dance challenge with Junmin of xikers. I think they have really cool and upbeat songs so I'm pretty excited. Us and xikers debuted in the same year but they're our sunbaes since they debuted a little earlier than us, and Junmin and I are both '03s, so I hope we get along well. I am a bit nervous though, only a little.

"Yeah, then to finish off you do this" Junmin sunbaenim from xikers was teaching me the moves to their new title song. I'd heard the song beforehand and tried to briefly learn the choreo prior to the challenge so it was only a matter of sharpening it. He was honoured, and he was so welcoming.

Once we filmed the challenge a couple times, we exchanged numbers, and internally, I was really excited. I mean we're both vocalists within our groups, we both have an older brother, we're both one of the oldest in our groups, etc, and we did have a mini conversation before heading to our own dressing rooms to talk about these things.

For the next week or so, we texted nearly everyday and clicked so well, so fast. We had so much in common and we would text in our free time so much to the point at the end of the week where both our members were asking us 'yah, who you texting so intensely?'

Three weeks after the challenge, I asked him if he wants to meet up, and he said yeah, thankfully. So we agreed to go to a cafe and then just go for a walk by the flower beds.

And even then, lemme tell you, our conversation was endless. We were both a bit shy at first but we've definitely broken out of our shells with eachother the past three weeks.

"Does your brother do that thing where he just leans against your door frame, crosses his arms and acts like you did something even though you didn't do anything?" he asked me as we were walking by the pretty flower beds.
"Yeah! It's so annoying, like he needs to use his words otherwise I'll never understand those crossed arms of his." I said, making us both chuckle.

And then, at 6pm, we decided to head home.
"We should do this more often. It's great talking to you." he said to me with a smile.
"Yeah, it's great talking to you too. Well, see you later!" I said, waving at him.
"Bye bye!!" he waved back.

And in the next couple months, we met up here and there next to our tight schedules, and we pretty much became best friends. Even Roadys and Onedoors have caught on and they think we're a great duo with great dynamic and visuals.

Junmin's POV
"Who you texting? Is it Sungho again?" Minjae asked me as he walked into the room.
"Yeah." I replied.
"Why are you always texting him? You seem to be texting him more than your own members. It makes no sense." he said to me, and that made me take my eyes off my phone.
"Am I not allowed to have friends outside xikers? Every other idol has friends outside their group, Minjae. And it's good to socialise." I said to him.

"Yeah, but you seem extra close to Sungho. I just think you should be giving a bit more priority to your own group sometimes." he said matter-of-factly, folding his t-shirt.
"I do, Minjae. It's not like I ditch schedules to hang out with him, is it?"

"If some random guy from another group is more important than your own leader then-"
"Oh this is all about you?" I snapped at him.
"No, Junmin listen-" but I'd walked off by then. He could've just said so.

I ended up falling asleep on the sofa that night and woke up all twisted up. My bones were tense and my back ached a little. It was comfortable but not comfortable enough to get a good night's sleep.
