~~68: 8TURN Yoonsung - Ball of Sunshine~~

You were driving in the rain at 9pm in the dark with a lump in your throat from finding out what's happened to your best friend. You hated every part of yourself in that moment because you had to live so far away that you couldn't of come and helped her when she literay has no one else close enough to her that lived near her. You didn't know where to go because her house was a wreck and although she has three roommates, you weren't really in touch with any of them, they only told you what happened after you got a call from the hospital thinking it was her.

You were driving and driving until one person came into your head... you haven't talked to him in a few months but you two are quite good friends...
One thing is though, you have feelings for him which he of course doesn't know. You two have known eachother since you were 14. So you only hoped you wouldn't make a fool of yourself or anything because he's the only person you could think of in this city that can lend you a room for a night or two.

When you pulled up at his place you just hoped that he was at home, or awake. You then saw that the lights were on so that relieved you a bit. You got out the car and quickly got your stuff and ran to the door as fast as you could to not get soaked. Your eyes were watery at this point, and not just from the rain.
You knocked on the door as your heart raced, hoping he wouldn't be disappointed or anything.

Then the moment of truth, the door opened, revealing a Cho Yoonsung in his pajamas. He looked at you and immediately gasped and covered his mouth.
"y/n? Oh my Gosh come in, you're gonna get soaked!" he exclaimed, signalling for you to come in, so you did and he immediately shut the door behind you.
He noticed right away that you were in a miserable state and he had so many questions.
"What- when did you get here?"
"I'll explain everything later... but listen, I hope this isn't too much to ask, but can I stay for a night or two? I'm so sorry about this but-"
"Why wouldn't I let you? Of course you can. You can sleep in my bed and I'll sleep on the sofa, yeah?"
"No, no, I'm already burdening you enough by just suddenly showing up and asking to stay the night, I'm not gonna make you-"
"y/n seriously, it's fine. You're not burdening me whatsoever, it's just great to see you! Now go freshen up then we can talk."

You sighed but eventually gave in.

"Thanks Yoonsung-ah, I owe you one. I would hug you but I'm soaked in rain so" after you said that he giggled and you headed to his bathroom to go take a shower.

His head turned towards you as he heard you coming down the stairs and he flashed you a wide smile.
"Now I can hug youuuu" he said cutely while making way towards you with open arms. You happily hugged his waist and took in his scent.
"So tell me what happened. I made you hot chocolate by the way." he said.
"Aww thank youuu." you picked up the mug and then began telling the story. "so basically it all started when I got a call from Lilia. I picked up and was like 'hey, how you doing?' obviously thinking it was her 'cause she called, right, but no, turns out it was the hospital. They called me and let me know that Lilia's been taken there after having a stroke. I immediately packed my bags and drove here and went straight to the hospital and all they told me was she was still breathing, not physically injured, but she's not conscious. So I went to her place and her roommates told me all about what happened."
And you told Yoonsung all about how they found her in her room, half her body paralysed, but they couldn't open the door because that's where she'd collapsed.

"And then I went into her room and oh my God, I'm telling you there was literally no space to step. It was covered in dirty clothes, takeaway food, plates, cups, mugs, random items, files, everything. And it smelled horrible. I'm pretty sure it's like that because of her mental state. And you remember her don't you, she was always tip-top of things, never dirty, but her mental state has gone way down since so that's probably why her room was like that. But yeah, crazy right? I'm planning on going to deep clean it maybe tomorrow. I'll need her roommates to help me or something-"
