Julie had a hard time falling asleep after Lana left, but grabbed her diary and begin to write again.
Saturday, she didn't got contacted by Lana, and just went out to the cinema and eat dinner with her friend, and although she managed to distract herself from her current romantic situation, once Julie was on bed, she felt the need to write all her feelings again.
Sunday came, and she woke up around 10:00 A.M to a Lana text.L: Are you in the mood for lunch?
J: Sure.
L: Get ready, I'll pick you up in about twenty minutes, it will be red car.
J: Is there going to be more people?
L: No, don't worry. That calmed Julie a little bit, but she was a nervous wreck. Was this a date? It seemed so.
She took a shower, brushed her teeth as best as she could, and put on this brown pants a black hoodie, some perfume and this golden small earings, her hair with a waterfall braid.
She head outside and Lana was already there, on a gray car that seemed pretty common. But she was wearing sunglasses and a red wig, although Julie was able to recognize her when Lana waved at her.
Julie got on her car, and Lana took off her wig and sunglasses."Hey" She said, her green eyes meeting hers. Julie noticed she was wearing blue jeans and a white sweater, and put on a white wool cap.
"Hi"
"I'm sorry for the wig, I didn't... well, I didn't want anyone following me" Lana explained.
"No need to apologize. It's pretty early to eat lunch, so where are we going?"
"Well, I have a little surprise for you" She said.
"What is it?"
"It's a surprise. I won't tell you"
"Come on, I don't like to wait"
"Well, you're going to have to wait, girl. 'Cause I won't say a single word"Lana started to drive again and put some music on.
"You don't listen to your own music?" Lana smiled at her question.
"I'd be lying if I said that some of my songs aren't on repeat on my head sometimes, but I just... I haven't reached that level yet. I would be so ashamed if someone walked inside my room and I'm listening my own songs on spotify, you know?" Julie burst out a small laugh.
"I wouldn't know, I'm not a singer"
"But you are a writer. Do you read your own books?" She shook her head. "See?"
"But I do have to read the books over and over to make corrections, so... yeah. I don't feel like reading it again"
"What music do you like? Like... what's your favorite artist? 'Cause I have no idea" Lana asked.
"Amy Lee" She nodded.
"Great taste, Julie. I'm surprised. Didn't think you would be an Evanescence fan"
"Well, I am. Fallen was the first record I ever bought" Julie said, and her amber eyes were fixed on her, although she needed to focus on the road. "How about you?"
"I don't really have like a favorite artist or band now, but I used to be a big fan of Lady Gaga growing up, I just lost track of her. I still love her though" Julie looked at her confused.
"Why is that?"
"Look, when I was sixteen music stopped being a hobbie to become a full on time job. And when I was on tour, I was also killing myself thinking about new melodies and lyrics, or I was singing and playing instruments. And when I was on a break, I just needed some silence. I guess this time alone helped me to get that genuine love for the music back, I actually enjoy it again now, and it makes me real happy" Her green eyes shined as she spoke, and that moved Julie. It's always so nice to see someone speaking about the things they are passionate. "Enough about me anyway. How did you realize you wanted to be a writer?" Julie took a few seconds before replying.
"After I read A Little Life I just... felt this need, this desire of creating something like that. That kind of art, a story like that" Julie explained, and Lana just looked at her, paying attention to every thing Julie said.
"That's one hell of a great book. I get that"
"You've read it?" Lana nodded.
They continued to talk about the book until they reached the place. They walked inside, and Julie was confused, wondering what the place was. It looked like a museum."So, I literally don't remember much about you in highschool. But what I did remember was that once made a presentation about the story of greek gods, and I don't know, thought you'd like to come to this place" Julie was amazed. It's a museum full of paintings and sculptures. Lana watched her with a smile as she looked at everything so amazed, with a smile on her face.
"This is just... amazing. I've never seen anything like this" She said.
"I thought you might like it"
"I can't believe you remembered something like that" She turned to look at her for a brief second.
"I don't know either I just... did. You had mentioned something about Cassandra having the gift of
prophecy, but being cursed by Apollo with not being believed because she rejected him" Julie smiled at her, and she literally got this feeling on her stomach... butterflies, literally. "Do you like drawing?"
"Yeah I... it's only a hobbie. I really enjoy it"
"I can't even draw a dog withouth making it look like a demon" Julie burst out a laugh, and Lana joined in. "Yeah, my hands are made to play instruments. I have the handwritting of a doctor too" Julie laughed again.
"How many instruments do you play? I was always curious"
"Well... around ten. Guitar, ukelele, bass, piano, drums, mandolin, saxophone, synthesizer, harp and spinet" She was completely shocked.
"How on earth do you remember how to play all that stuff, I don't get it" Lana suddenly pinned up Julie against a wall, taking all her breath away. She just felt the sudden need to kiss her. She just pressed her lips against hers for a brief second, and then started to walk again, leaving Julie confused, but feeling completely aroused.
"Oh, and by the way, there's no one else here. I payed for this place to be open only for us for two hours. So don't worry" And then it hit Julie. She was dating a freaking millionare. They walked inside this little room that seemed to be for the stuff, and there was food, drinks and candles, and it all felt so romantic. No one had ever done something even remotely close to this.
"Do you often do stuff like this with the people you date?" She asked.
"So... we are dating?" Lana asked with a grin on her face, flashing her green eyes and dimples at Julie, who blushed and threw a piece of cheese at her. "Hey!"
"Yeah, we are..."
"Anyway, I would never do this for a man" They both laughed. "And I haven't really tried to date in a while. I'm trying to do things different. So, no... I haven't done this before" Julie felt flattered, and reached for her hand.
"Can you kiss me?" Lana didn't hesitate and after tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear, she brushed her lips above hers. Slowly sliding her tongue inside of her mouth, tasting her. This kiss wasn't as passionate or desperate. It was more soft, more romantic. They were both nervous, but fully enjoying the kiss.
Lana wanted to do more, but the fact that she knew it was Julie's firsts experiences with a girl just made her stop and let Julie take the first step.
Julie placed her hands on her hips. They eventually stopped, and walked together back to Lana's car.
She dropped her at home, and they were pretty much smiling the whole time."At what hour do you stop working, Julie?"
"At 4:00 P.M, but I always take a nap when I come back" Lana nodded.
"Okay, I will see how I will work around that" She said.
"I'll see you"
"I'll see you, Jules"
