Six months later...
Lana had dropped her album, naming it In Another Life that was a success, and she was going everywhere promoting the singles and the album with Carl right next to her. They were seen together pretty often and her fans loved the couple, and Julie, who had made a name for herself after dropping one a book that was set to become a best seller, because the book is pretty good, but also the promotion that it got because it was pretty obvious that it was inspired in her relationship with Lana, plus more of the songs that Lana had dropped that were clearly for her. Like Distant Memory:
And now I know
That we can’t get back even if you wanted
And now I know
That you didn’t love me half as much as I did, darling
And perhaps you’ll realise one day of your mistake and come crawling back, but it won’t change what you did
And now all I want to say is that I would have loved you for the rest of our lives if you had stayed around
But all you are now is a distant memory, and you will affect me until the day I leave
And I Know:
I’m aware of the fact that
With those amber eyes and model walk
You won’t have any problem
Finding people to hook up
But I know
That you still think about me, baby
And I know
That none of them touch you like I do
Yeah, I know
That you still dream about me, darling
You know I know
Or It Could Be Her:
I walked that night
Into that empty bar
That’s when I saw her again
For the first time
Beautiful smile and lovely scent
Amber eyes and that green dress
And deep down, I think I already knew that it could be her
The one to drove me insaneEverybody knew that those songs were for her, and Julie hated that everything was still affecting her, but the song that hurt her the most was Always Us, that was clearly for her new boyfriend Carl (who she had learn it had been her boyfriend in highschool) that asshole that looks like a damn prince and is constantly showing her off. But it kills her because it's like he stole Lana from her, and because she knows he is treating her the way she deserves to be treated, the way she failed at doing. And Always Us shows how she forgot about her and is now in love with someone else, and even though she's no longer in love with her, she knows she lost the love of her life.
The day that she left
I started to wonder what to do with my self
Crying on the floor, feeling like I couldn’t even catch my breath
Days and nights withouth sleeping, thinking of her smile
Thinking of what we could have now
But one day as I was staring at the stars, I felt the feelings starting to die as he walked right by
With those gray eyes and strong arms, helping me to pull myself up
Since the day that you came back
And as I’m writing this for you, I wonder if it was always us and I was just wasting my time
Perhaps it was always meant to be just you and IBut Julie had moved on, had made new friends, started therapy, bought herself a nice apartment and could afford a luxurious life completely from her own pocket, and was planning to make a new trip. But she had one last thing to do.
