When Lana finished writing two songs on a piano she bought, she called her producers, who came all over to Buenos Aires alongside Nick to record her vocals, she seemed completely fine, but the person Nick had called hadn't show up yet, he was going to show up next week, once Lana were on Ushuaia.
She sang the songs perfectly and then started to tell the producers how she wanted to make the songs sound. One was more like a ballad, like a folk song, and the other one was rock with some jazz influences.
To Nick, Lana looked much better now. She had spend some nights crying and drinking and still missed Julie, but she was feeling better now, looked a little bit like herself.
When they were finished, Nick went to talk to her friend."Hey, are you okay?" He asked.
"I've been better, but I'll be alright" She replied, standing in front of him with her arms crossed.
"You sure?"
"You really don't need to worry about me, I'm going to be just fine, you know?" Nick nodded.
"I just wish I could do something to help you, the way you helped me when my parents kicked me out. I don't know where I would be now if you hadn't helped me" Lana hugged him.
"You helped me already. But I think I'm the only who can make me feel better. I'll be fine, seriously" She said.
"Alright... when you're coming back?"
"Probably next month, or the next after that. I know we have to drop a new single soon"
"I thought you had chosen it already" He told her.
"Yeah, but I changed my mind already" She replied.
"What single are you dropping out?"
"Endgame"
"What? I thought you were dropping It Could Be Her"
"I changed my mind" Nick nodded at her.
"You're not doing any perfomance to promote?" She shook her head.
"Nah I... Just need more time. But I'll be back there to promote the album" Nick gave her another hug.
"I've missed you"
"I've missed you too"When Nick left, Lana took a long bath on her hotel room as she watched a movie on her phone. She then checked her messages and turns out she had a voicemail from an unknown number. Curiosity almost makes her listen to the voicemail, but she chose not to do it. She erased the voicemail withouth even listening to it.
She was aware that it could be Julie, and even though a part of her hoped it would be a nice message of her apologizing to her and telling her she loves her and knows she was the one in the wrong, but Lana knows it's most likely not the case. And it's better that way, because if Julie actually apologized for accusing her of outting her, Lana would have to go backwards. She was capable of flying straight to Julie's apartment to see her, but right now, she felt as if she were falling out of love with Julie. That hurt, because she had to convince herself to go for a relationship with Julie and had treated her as best as she could, with some mistakes, but she tried her best and it wasn't enough for her. And she now sees her mother is right, and she can't ever go back to someone that thought so low of her. That would turn her back and not trust her when things like things happen. She really wishes it were different, but it's not, and she's finally starting to accept that.
Slowly, her love for Julie will completely fade and it will just be a distamt memory one day.
