After a whole month, Lana was feeling better. Not good, but okay at the very least. Her friends had called her none stop, worried, and Nick had even showed up to her house.
She ended up taking the decision to take a trip around Latin America for a couple of months to distract from all the chaos. She still had to write some other songs for her album, but had selected the second single.
Despite the break up, she didn't feel like writing any songs, but just needed to be away from everything."You sure you don't want me to go with you?" Nick asked her as they hugged in the airport.
"No, I need to be alone for a while. But I'll call you if I'm lonely" She said.
"You should. If you write any song, you should send it to me" He replied.
"I will, bye"
"Goodbye" Nick said, and watched his best friend walked away. He felt angry that someone had hurt his best friend that way, so he got on his car and drove straight to Julie's apartment, decided to confront her about what she did to Lana.He knocked on the door angry, his red hair short, brown leather pants, brown shoes and a white bottom down shirt.
When Julie opened up, she was shocked to see him.
"Nick?" He let himself in.
"I have a few things to tell you"
"I don't wanna hear anything" She replied, and Nick's blue eyes met hers.
"Too fucking bad, 'cause I'm not leaving until you listen to me" He begin. "You're a real bitch, aren't you?" That shocked Julie.
"Excuse me?"
"All that act of pretending that Lana was the one who outted you is pure bullshit, isn't it? It was you. You outted yourself"
"What?" She asked in disbelief.
"I heard about your new book. I have this friend that works on an editorial, telling me a girl had shown her this book about some ordinary girl that discovers she also likes girls with some famous actress. How convenient, isn't it? To be about to drop this book shortly after you were 'outted' and everyone suddenly wants to know your name because some pictures of you with Lana Sunderland were dropped on the internet and your sales went up. What a coincidence, right?" Julie was speechless. She hadn't outted herself, but this definitly made her look bad.
"I did not out myself, it was Lana. I know it was her"
"It's really unbelievable how someone that claims to love you can think you did something like that with any proof" Nick shot back.
"Who else could've done something like that? It was her. She planned it" Nick shook his head.
"You're not half as smart as you think you are, Julie" He took a step forward. "You're actually pretty dumb for what it seems. You knew you were dating Lana Sunderland, and that brings a lot of attention. It was clear that something like that could've happen, anyone that was on the restaurant could have taken the photos. Still, you chose to accuse someone that went through hell due to being outted of doing the same to someone she loves. It's sick. Withouth any proof, did you really think that low of her?" Nick asked, and Julie didn't know what to answer. She could notice the anger on his voice. "Now she's heartbroken because of you, and it hurts to see my best friend like that because I warned her about dating you. I know who you are, I know you were friends with her bullies and laughed at her in highschool. Still, she treated you like a fucking queen and you did this to her?" A tear rolled down her cheek. Lana had treated her with all the love in the world, had taken her to romantic dated, to Europe, had given her the most amazing sex she ever had, the space to talk about anything with her, expensive gifts, intimacy... and it didn't crossed her mind how she must be doing now if what she thinks she did is a lie. "Aren't you gonna say anything?" Julie shook her head. "Good. Stay the fuck away from her life. I know one day you will regret leaving someone like her, but just know one thing I know from being his best friend all this years: You fucked things up with her, and I know one day you'll go back, crawling back and begging for forgiveness, but she will never take you back. And it's a real shame, 'cause you won't ever find someone like her again" Nick left after saying those words as fast as he could, and he grabbed his phone as he was getting out of the building, and decided to call someone who was really important to Lana.
Meanwhile, Julie crumbled once more in her couch, and couldn't stop crying."Hey man"
"Hey dude, what's going on?" His friend replied.
"All good for me but... Lana is going through a rough time"
"Is she?" He asked, confused.
"Yeah, a really rough time. I know this is a crazy thing to ask, but I'm worried, and I know you'll always worry too. Can you go check on her? She went to Latin America, she's in Colombia right now"
"Slow down, what happend?"
"Is not up for me to tell you, but I hadn't seen her this bad in a long while. Will you go?"
"I have a few problems with documentation, I can't travel so easily. I will go, but I'm gonna need some time, like a month, perhaps too. Where will she be by then?"
"I think Argentina. But not Buenos Aires, she's going to this province in the south... I think it's called Tierra del Fuego or something like that. Anyway, it's freezing cold there, it's the closest place to the antartic and they are on winter there, so take coats and all that, okay?"
"Yeah, I will" He replied.
