Ever since they had postponed the idea of coming out, Julie and Lana seemed to be happier and more comfortable with each other than ever, more at peace. So much that Julie was thinking of ways of coming out to her family and friends.
As they sat to eat at one of Lana's favorite restaurants, where she had said hi to everyone, and told Julie not to worry, that she never had a problem here."So... you should know that I did tell my mom about you" Lana said.
"Oh... what did she think?"
"Of course, she wants to meet you but I told her no"
"Is your mom okay with you dating a woman?" Lana smiled.
"You know she is"
"And she doesn't have problem being with a half black woman?"
"I hope not, she has half black kids" She replied, to Julie's surprise.
"I wanted to tell you that... I spend this last three months writing a book" Her girlfriend smiled and felt happy that she was finally seeing Julie inspired.
"What is it about?"
"I... well, I wrote it about a girl that's in her late twenties and starts to discover she's into women"
"Oh, and may it be a bit inspired in your experience?"
"Perhaps" Julie responded.
"You're learning about me" Lana told her.
"I want to hear the songs you wrote about me"
"I don't write songs about you, I write songs about how you make me feel" Lana replied, making Julie blush.
"You're such a romantic. To think that you literally didn't want any relationship when we first met"
"Well, you changed that pretty easily" She said, her green eyes fixed on her girlfriend. Lana reached for Julie's hand and kissed it, but noticed she was a bit nervous. "Don't worry, we're alone here"
"Are we?" Lana nodded with confidence. "Alright, 'cause I kinda want to kiss you now"
"Kinda?"
"Shut up" Julie said, her eyes now on Lana's lips. Lana got closer to her across the table and Julie pressed her lips against hers. They ended the date on Lana's penthouse. They were on the couch watching a movie, but since Lana's couch is way more comfortable than Julie's bed, plus feeling the heat of Lana's body because she was hugging her and kissing her face softly. It kept making her so happy how Lana expressed her love to her with both constant physical contact and with words.
