"Another number 1 on the Billboards charts, this time with a slow song that barely had any promotion. Lana... I always knew you could do it" Carl said as they were coming back from the mountain, and Lana smiled remembering that yeah, Carl always had her back and was the first one to tell her she could do it.
"I still don't know how you were so sure that I was going to be a success from the start" She replied.
"Because I have visions" Lana threw a snow ball on his pretty face. "Hey!" She laughed in front of him, and he threw a snowball at her. They started to throw snowballs at each other like two little kids, and they both ended up laying on the snow together, staring at the sunset.

"Yeah, I missed having you on my life too" Carl reached for her hand as she stared into her eyes, and she felt a wave of emotions. It had been over two weeks since Carl came, but there hadn't been anything romantic between us. She didn't think she would feel anything for anyone after Julie for at least a long time, but she did, and he felt something too. "Why did you come here?"
"I told you. I wanted to see how you were doi-" Lana interrupted him.
"I know what you said, but I want to know the real reason why you came here, so far away from home to check on me when we hadn't spoken in over six years, Carl?" He sighed before responding her question, but deep down, they both knew it.
"I'm not quite sure. But I'll always care about you, Lana. You have no idea how much you mean to me. You were the first person to... actually care about me, and I'll never forget that. I loved you more than I ever loved anyone" He confessed to her, making her heartbeat raise. Carl had shitty parents and used to have a lot of problems to find good friends, however, his life changed forever when he first saw Lana. And to Lana, Carl also meant the world. They were each others first everything, and Carl was the inspiration for some of Lana's greatest songs, and Lana inspired Carl to follow his dreams. Not only that, but the kind of connection and love they shared is the type to never fade.
She didn't know it yet, but she was falling in love again with Carl as she kept falling out of love with Julie.
