Merome #1

Jerome's pov
Mitch has been acting different lately and his appearance has changed he no longer wears his tight fitting shirts but instead baggy t-shirts and oversized sweatshirts. He won't let me cuddle him and he's been getting out of bed in the morning and going downstairs only to return 5 minutes later looking drained.
Today I was up before he was and when he came downstairs I waited for him in the living room. He saw me and looked relieved and slowly sauntered over.
"Jerome? W-why are you awake so early?"
"Well maybe because every morning I hear you get up and come down here only to come back looking worse than before! Not only that but you won't let me cuddle you, you look worried all the time, and you seem to have no interest in me anymore!"
"I-I-I'm sorry" is all he got out before rushing to the bathroom and throwing up in the toilet.
"Mitch is this what you've been doing for the past two weeks?"
He nods and slowly gets up.
"Why didn't you tell me you were sick?"
"B-b-because I'm not sick" he stutters on the verge of sobbing. I wanted nothing more than to hug him but first I needed to know what was going on.
"Well then why did you just throw up if you 'aren't sick'?"
Mitch's pov
I had an internal debate on wether or not to tell him. However came to the decision that he had a right to know the he was going to be a dad. Besides I couldn't exactly hide it forever...
Jerome's Pov
Mitch was quiet for a few minutes before letting out a breath and preparing to tell me what the hell was happening.
"Jerome?" he said in a small voice.
"Yes?"
"Promise you won't leave me if I tell you what's wrong with me."
"I'll never leave you Mitch I love you too much."
"Okay well the reason I'm throwing up and not letting you cuddle me is because...because" he started choking up
"You can tell me ok?" I pulled him into me for the first time in two months. he shuddered and began again.
"Is because I'm...I'm pregnant" he burst into tears and sunk to the floor. I stood there shocked not knowing what to do.
He looked up at me tears in his eyes. Seeing that I hadn't moved triggered something in him and he stood up and ran to our room.
I broke out of my 'trance' and ran after him. I found him facing the wall laying on our bed sobbing quietly and muttering something over and over as I got closer I could make out what he was saying.
"I'm a freak. He doesn't want us. He hates me now." I slowly approached the bed and sat down startling him and making him stop crying and muttering altogether.
He turned over and started crying harder than before. I finally reacted and pulled him into my chest and wrapped my arms securely around him.
-30 min later-
He had finally calmed down and was just looking at me seeing if I would say anything.
"Jerome?" he whispered.
"What's up" I say softly.
"Do you hate us?" he refers to him and the baby.
"No I could never hate either of you." I kiss his forehead and lay us down.
"W-what about the baby?"
"What about him/her?"
"D-do you want to take care of him/her?"
"Of course! I was just a little shocked that I'm gonna be a dad."
He visibly relaxed.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner I thought you'd be mad or tell me to leave"
"Never I love you to the moon and back" he smiles lightly at our cheesy catchphrase.
"C-can I feel your stomach" I cringe at how awkward that sounds.
He nods silently as I move up his baggy t-shirt. When his stomach is fully exposed I see the small bump starting to form and tears well in my eyes. I slowly start to lower my hand and when it finally is on his stomach I rub it lightly. It's weird knowing our baby is in there and that were going to be parents.
I hear light snores and realize that Mitch has fallen asleep. I smile lightly and turn us so that I'm spooning him. I wrap my arms protectively over Mitch and his slightly swollen stomach. I fall asleep thinking of how lucky I am.
