Natee and I were sitting in the green room backstage. We both looked at each other in silence for a minute, before I decided that one of us should start the conversation.

"Well..." "Well..."

When I started to speak, he did too.

"You go first." I gave way to him.

"No, you go first." He deflected.

"You know, if I start, it's going to be long, and you won't have time to say anything," I warned him, making him sigh and decide to speak.

"Okay, I'm sorry I still can't move on from you." He said with a gloomy expression.

"And sorry for saying harsh things to you. It's not your fault. It's all mine. I kept avoiding you, and it worried the fans, causing trouble for you. From now on, I'll try to be normal, like before. Just... give me a bit more time."

I listened to him and sighed.

Did he really think that I rejected him?

"Hey, when did I ever tell you to give up on me?" I told him directly.

"What?!" His gloomy expression suddenly turned to surprise.

"That day, you didn't give me a chance to say anything," I said, staring into his eyes.

"You just shouted at me before I could get a word out regarding how I felt about you."

My words made him seem really shocked.

"Wait... are you saying you haven't rejected me yet?" His voice sounded like he couldn't believe it.

"Nope. When did I say that? Where did you hear that from? I didn't reject you, not even a single word."

"But you..." He paused for a moment. "...you hate me, don't you?"

"Yes! Hate is hate, you know? As my rival, I hate you so much. Why did you have to compete for UNISTAR in the same year as me? Why do you have to act as handsome as me? Even your fan club size is the same as mine!"

I let out all the frustration that I had been holding back since I became a UNISTAR.

"Hey, about this, I used to hate you too. But... lately... I kinda like it. If I hadn't become a UNISTAR, I wouldn't have a chance to be with you..."

He paused before rubbing his head.

"Damn, what the hell did I just say? That's too cheesy."

I saw his reaction and laughed in my throat. This dog was so hilarious.

"To put it simply, as a rival, I hate you." I continued.

"But for anything else, I haven't decided yet."

"Really?" His eyes widened immediately. "So, that means... you'll accept me?"

"Let's say I'm considering it." I corrected him. "Now, I'm evaluating your good points."

"You're doing a quality check on me or something?" He frowned.

"Yeah, tell me, what are your good points? Why should I date you?" I asked him bluntly.
