Chapter 28

Whale You Marry Me

"Makeup needs cosmetics, dressing up needs clothes,

marriage only needs your heart."

I was extremely shocked when I read the announcement for the next fanmeet event on the official Facebook page.

UNISTAR Official

Whirlwind Fanmeet Announcement! This event is exclusively for the Half Moons fandom.

We invite all Unity to witness the wedding ceremony of the two UNISTAR members.

Natee & Wayu

Special! There will be a random selection of ten lucky fans to participate in the 'blocking groom gate'.

The promotional image for this fanmeet was designed like a wedding invitation, and this was the first time all tickets were priced the same because only standing tickets were available. Plus it wouldn't be held at the stadium as usual, but it would take place at the Mary Wille Hotel, with free meals provided.

This was like a real wedding invitation.

Wait...The dog and I just reconciled last month.

Why were we getting married this fast?!

I froze for a while and called P'Kwang quickly. Normally, I wouldn't dare call him, but I seriously had no choice.

"I knew you would call," P'Kwang answered at once.

"P'Kwang, are you really planning a wedding for me and Natee? Don't do that! I haven't asked my parents yet!"

P'Kwang laughed at me.

"Wayu, you're overthinking it. It's not a real wedding. We're just organising a fanmeet with a wedding theme."

"But I'll have to attend the ceremony with Natee, won't I?" I was worried about it.

"There won't be any marriage certificate nor a priest. We'll only have a party." P'Kwang's explanation made me feel at ease. Looks like it would be another one of those fanservice parties.

"P'Kwang, Thai wedding ceremonies usually have a bride and groom, but Natee and I are both men."

"You both will wear groom outfits, but Natee will take the groom's role in the Khan Mak[1] procession."

"Huh?" I exclaimed. "Why? It's not fair. I'm just as manly as him. Why can't I take the role of the groom?"

"Because there's the gate-blocking part. Have you seen it at weddings? The bride waits inside, and the groom has to struggle to get to her, passing through the gate-blocking set up by the guests or bridesmaids. Sometimes the groom has to give the gate blockers some money to pass, but I plan to have the groom do tasks assigned by the gate blockers instead."

I could imagine it but I still didn't understand.

"So why does Natee have to do it, not me?"

"Chairman Kriangsak gave the order, okay?"

"Papa did?" I widened my eyes.

"He treats you as his beloved godson and doesn't want you to be tired doing those tasks."
