I don't know where the hell my mother went, after we got back she went to get some tea and never returned, which is fair I was taking care of some things for the hotel, but I'm done now so I should probably check on her.

I make my way to the kitchen, stopping in the doorway, surprised by the sight.

"Yeah and they were crazy, like how do you make a product line have deisgns for it and everything but not think about the programing for it? Thats the most important part, how its coded, they just stared at me too!"
My mother laughs, "must've been stressful, my husband worked in tech too but you know we're from the early ages so by tech of course I mean radio and such, he'd always come home irritated and such though,"
"Yeah? What position did he have?"
"Oh he worked in the front, selling and explaining the products,"
"That's ceo job nowadays, being the face or your company sucks, but I do enjoy it so,"

Have they been talking this whole time..?
It's been over an hour..
I didn't think he'd be the type to talk to her or my friends.
He's usually in his bubble of people.

I clear my throat as I step in.
"Al! There you are! Did you finish that work?"
"Yes, mother, hows your tea?"
"Delightful, and vox here was just teaching me about his work stuff!"
I sit down next to Vox, the both of them starting up another conversation.
He's being social, which is normal for work but this seems different, genuine?

"I can get you one of mine, it'll have the hell numbers and socials, so you can contact us directly, I'm not sure sera will let it go through the gates but I'm willing to try?"
"That would be wonderful!"
"Huh-?"
"I'll be back," vox says, getting up and walking out. "Oh-! Has anyone see Lucifer? He likes going with me."
"Uhhh, no," I respond.
"Hm. Alright I'm gonna go find him first then,"
"What is he doing-" I question, looking at my mother.
"Baby were you not listening? he's going to get me a hell-phone,"
"Oh-? No I wasn't."
She smiles lightly.

"They're both great."
"Hm-?"
"Luci told me you were having trouble with trust, I think they're both great."
"You've had one full conversation with Vox and you like him?"
"Well a lot can happen in an hour, but yeah, he's sweet, Luci despite his past seems to really just need a real relationship."
I look down.
She's right.
I really need to work on my trust issues.
Lucifer has worked on his, and he's doing better mentally, all for me and Vox.
I'll have to work on it for them.
