"I love you."

That single sentence, although uttered in a weak voice, was able to make the whole room quiet. Including Yoon Jay.

It took the man a full minute of staring at Yoohan blankly as if he had just witnessed the sun rising from the west. No--seeing the sun rising from the west wouldn't actually stun him this much. "...Yoohan?"

"Yeah?"

"Bunny?"

"Mm?"

Even the soft reply. He wondered if he was actually dreaming--but then again, he hadn't slept a wink ever since Yoohan was gone. Oh, perhaps he was hallucinating? Hearing things? Perhaps his brain was conjuring stuff from sleep deprivation.

Or perhaps...perhaps this person was not his bunny? He wasn't even scolding him for using 'bunny' in front of others like usual. Was he being possessed by someone pretending to be Yoohan?

Yoon Jay stared at the pair of deep black eyes keenly. "Can you say it once more?"

"No."

"Pfft--" a smile formed on his lips at that stern rejection and gradually hardened eyes. "So you are still my honey bunny."

"Shut up!"

"Yeah, that's my Yoohan, alright."

Yoon Jay laughed lightheartedly, further silencing the people who were inside the room. Naturally, it was something foreign to them, hearing that crips, joyful laugh. It was as if the man who had been looking like he was one step away from becoming the world's first supervillain was nowhere in sight.

"My, my," Mari was the first one who reacted. Quite enthusiastically at that. "I never thought we would have a confession right off the bat!"

It was then that Yoohan finally regained his awareness; that he wasn't alone with Yoon Jay, and that he was just saying something embarrassing. A confession among anything! For fuck's sake, Lee Yoohan--he cursed himself inwardly, and only after making a justification about still feeling woozy from his injury did he manage to keep his cool.

Or at least he tried.

"What kind of venue would you like to have the reception in?" Yoon Mari clapped her hands excitedly.

Kim Yoojin couldn't help but sigh at her tactless employer. Employers. "Madam..."

"Ugh..."

"Why? I'm just planning for the future!" the Madam whined, crossing her arms petulantly. "Do you know how overbooked a good venue could be? Some have years of waitlist, you know!"

Yeah, he tried.

Yoohan let out another groan. How could a simple 'I love you' turn into a conversation about reception? Reception for what?! They barely turned into lovers not long ago!

Fortunately, said lover had enough sense after hearing his groan. "Mother, you'll make my bunny queasy."

"Don't--"

He glared at the man. Whether it was the mother or the son, these Yoon people really knew how to increase his blood pressure!

"Ahem," as if sent by the heaven to help Yoohan, the doctor cleared his throat and raised his hand, asking in an exasperated voice. "May I check on the patient now?"

The Madam gasped and nodded. "Oh, my! Yes, yes!"

The doctor was younger than Yoohan thought; older than Yoon Jay, but younger than Mari. What made him feel older was probably the exhausted voice and the dark circles beneath the drooping eyes. Yoohan could guess why--it wasn't so difficult knowing the Yoons. Yoon Jay was probably keeping this poor doctor in custody to watch Yoohan 24/7 until he woke up. It wouldn't surprise him if the doctor had to operate on him in the mansion.
