Chapter 21

Maddie

"Do either of you two know what the guys are planning for us today?" Ben asked as he sat on my sofa, his eyes glued to his phone screen. 

"You must be joking, Jack won't tell me anything, if it's a surprise then it stays a surprise with Jack" I answered

"Liam is the same" Emma chimed in

"Shall we take guesses?" Ben asked, looking up at us

"Well what do you think it could be?" Emma asked with a smile

"Maybe a surprise getaway for the weekend" Ben suggested

"That's a good shout" Emma and I both agreed

"What do you two think it could be?" Ben asked, turning towards Emma and I

"Maybe a triple date night?" Emma suggested 

"Good call" Ben nodded as he thought about Emma's suggestion

"Mads, what you thinking?" Ben asked, diverting his gaze to me

"Well we've got a secret getaway and also a date night, what else could there possibly be? A movie date?" I asked as I thought about what else there could possibly be

"Isn't Sonny telling you anything?" Emma asked Ben as she glanced over at him

"Nope, nothing, and let me tell you girls, I have tried, I was sweet, I tried to be sneaky but he wouldn't give anything away" Ben groaned and huffed out

"Well at least we know it's not gonna be anything bad or wild like a party or anything mad" I tried to point out

"Yeah, I suppose that is true" Ben nodded as he looked deep in thought.

It was currently 12pm and Jack had said that he, Liam and Sonny would pick Ben, Emma and I up at my apartment at 12.30pm. Ben and Emma arrived here around 11am, they have been trying to work out what this surprise is that the boys have planned, I know that when Jack says something is a surprise, he keeps it as a surprise until the time comes to reveal it. I will say this about Jack, when he plans something special and romantic, he really puts a lot of thought and effort into everything he does for me. I couldn't help the small that appeared on my lips as I thought about what Jack has done for me before. 

"What are you smiling about?" Emma inquired as she must have looked over to me and saw the small smile on my lips

"I was just thinking about the small things that Jack has done for me before, the time, the thought and the effort he puts into everything, to make it as perfect as he can" I explained but couldn't help the small blush that was appearing on my face or the way my small smile seemed to grow even bigger at the thought. 

"Aww look at her, she's blushing" Ben gushed as he laughed 

"Don't, I think it's sweet" Emma smiled as she looked at Ben before looking back to me

"I know what you mean, Liam has done so many sweet things for me too" Emma smiled as she picked up a gold necklace from around her neck, it was on a long chain, then there was a diamond gold infinity heart in the middle of it. 

"Oh wow, Emma, that's really beautiful" I smiled as I gently held the diamond heart in my hand

Ben was standing behind me and done a whistle.

"Liam has some serious style girl" Ben cheered

I carefully placed the necklace back in Emma's hand.

"Liam certainly does, your necklace is gorgeous" I smiled
