Chapter 26

Jack

I still can't believe what Maddie suggested last night, I knew from the moment that she said it, it was a bad idea. Matt is going to go absolutely ape shit mad when he finds out about us. I know what Maddie was saying and where she is coming from, I love her so much, I don't want to hide our relationship forever either. 

"I hope you and Mads know what your doing" Liam said, interrupting my thoughts. 

"Please don't Liam, I'm nervous as hell, it's gonna be bad" 

"You don't know that, you and Mads are great together" Liam said trying to offer me reassurance

"I'm glad you think so, don't get me wrong, I love Maddie with all my heart, of course I do, she's my true mate" I began to explain.

"That's why you took so long to get back" Liam chimed in with a knowing expression

I could only look at  Liam with a shocked expression on my face. 

"We both know what got into you, even more so recently, especially since you two have started sleeping together" Liam said, pointing out the obvious to me.

"I tried to hold off for as long as I could, I still haven't marked her yet, my wolf, Zion, keeps on pushing me to mark her, I know it was me that slept with her on my own free choice" I began

"You don't need to explain yourself to me mate" Liam joked, holding his hands up in a surrendering way.

Of course he knew and understood what it was I was going through. I only nodded in response. 

"You ready to go then?" Liam asked

"Sure where's the others? Sonny, Lewis, Tyler" I asked

"In the car" Liam responded as he grabbed his bag and made his way outside to the others already in the car. I followed him out to the car. 

"You wanna drive or shall I?" Liam offered

"I think it would be best if you did, I've got to much to think about and worry about" I admitted as I tossed the keys over to Liam, he got in my usual driver's seat and I got in the front passenger's seat. Liam turned on some music and the guys in the back talked amongst themselves while I just sat quietly, looking out the window, deep in thought. 

Maddie

So far today, everything was going exactly as I had planned with the others last night, including Jack. I know he was nervous about this whole thing but I'm growing tired of having to hide our relationship from everyone else, I mean, yes it was fun to start out that way but now, I want everyone to know that I'm his. If anyone has a problem with us then that is their problem not ours.  

Since we got here this morning, I noticed how everyone kept on giving poor Emma weird looks, pointing at her or talking then pointing at her, people probably making snide remarks to each other about her. I had to calm Emma down at one point and talk her into staying in college rather than escaping this hell she was facing, she had to know that she wasn't on her own in this, Ben and I were also in this with her so no doubt we will soon face the same kind of things that she is. 

"Maybe we shouldn't go ahead with this plan of yours" Emma said and you could hear the stress in her voice

"We're doing this okay, they all need to know that it isn't just you going through this on your own, you also have Ben and I too" I replied as I did my best to reassure her. 

"You've seen what I'm going through, how they're all judging me, the snide remarks, the looks of disgust, the finger pointing, the whispering" Emma listed off
