Maddie
I walked through the empty halls of college, as I was walking along to the lockers, I saw Emma with her other two friends but it looked like they were having an argument or something. The two girls, Stacey and Abbey both shook their heads at Emma before then walking away. It has been weird for me, spending more time with Emma especially around the boys too, it's not something I thought would ever happen. I held my bag straps on my shoulder as I walked towards Emma.
"Hey, Emma, are you okay there?" I asked carefully
"Just fine, why wouldn't I be?!" Emma snapped
"That didn't look good with Stacey and Abbey, everything okay there?" I again asked carefully
"Just leave me alone Maddie" Emma snapped again before running off in the direction of the girls toilets.
I sighed, shaking my head before heading off to my usual quiet room where I decided to study for a bit before the boys got here and classes started. I was in the middle of reading through things I had written down and also writing down some notes when the door opened and Emma walked in, I could tell from the redness under her eyes that she'd been crying.
"They hate me" Emma said as she stood by the now closed door. I could tell just she was on the verge of crying again.
I closed my books and put them to the side before motioning to Emma to sit next to me. She slowly walked over, I looked in my bag and found a packet of pocket sized tissues, I took them out my bag and handed Emma the packet.
"Here"
"Thank you"
"So when you said they hate you, I'm guessing this has something to do with Stacey and Abbey from earlier?"
Emma only nodded in response. I gently put my hand on Emma's shoulder and gently rubbed soothing circles on her back.
"It's okay, just take your time, if you want to talk, I'm here, I'll listen, if not, if you just want to cry it out, that's also fine"
"They said they haven't seen me in so long and don't think it's a good idea for me to call them when I need them and ignore them when I don't"
"I'm guessing this is because of you and Liam?"
Emma only nodded in response as she continued to wipe her eyes.
"It's hard having a werewolf boyfriend as your mate, they want to spend as much time with you as they can and be around you as much as possible" I smiled
"I didn't expect to fall for Liam or for what happened between us to happen" Emma admitted and smiled softly
"That's the thing about love, it finds you in the most unexpected ways" I smiled
"You know, hanging out with you, ben and the boys these last few weeks, it's not been that bad" Emma smiled
We both laughed
"No it really hasn't, it's not something I thought would ever happen, can I ask you something?"
"Sure, go ahead"
"You and Liam, how did that happen?"
"I was driving home from town one night, my car broke down in the middle of nowhere, my phone battery had died so I had no way of calling anyone for help. I was stranded in the middle of nowhere in the dark of night, I had no idea what to do, if I should have left my car and walked back to town for help or waited until maybe by chance someone would pass by and stop to help. I was so stressed and scared" Emma admitted
