Chapter Twenty One! real life.
After spending another good hour at the amusement park, the girls had finally decided to head back to the hotel and finally relax after a long day of walking around the city and the amusement park. Tomorrow was another day and they probably would eat at a restaurant in the evening and do something during the day before they'd had back to Storrs and continue with their usual routines.
As they arrived at the hotel, Paige was not going to lie when she said she was nervous. She was extremely nervous. In fact, she was sure she was anxious, scared shitless and slightly panicking. She felt like she was going to get a panic attack if this all went to shit. Sitting in the backseat with Azalea and KK, her knee bounced up and down with nerves as she looked out the window, watching as they got closer to the hotel. And of course, Azalea being Azalea noticed.
Azalea noticed that Paige looked anxious. Like the poor girl was biting her nails and everything. So, hoping to soothe whatever nerves or feelings Paige was for some reason having, she wordlessly laid her head on her shoulder and placed her hand over her knee, rubbing her thumb back and forth soothingly. She didn't know why Paige was anxious or nervous and she didn't need an explanation and she most definitely wasn't going to call her out on it, not wanting to make her feel uncomfortable. Plus, sometimes all a person needs is a silent comfort from another person. And Azalea was more than willing to be that person for Paige.
Paige closed her eyes and sighed softly as she felt Azalea's hand on her knee and her head on her shoulder. The touch was comforting and it was clear in the way her body instantly melted and her knee slowly stopped bouncing. Paige leaned her head down on Azalea's head, her arm sliding around her shoulder and pulling her closer. She placed a kiss on top of her head, sighing softly.
"Ugh, lesbians." KK said as she looked at Paige and Azalea, playfully gagging and rolling her eyes.
"Ugh, closeted lesbian." Azalea said as she too playfully gagged and rolled her eyes.
"We know you're gay, KK.." Azzi said in a teasing tone as she looked back at her.
"Assuming someone's sexuality isn't a kind thing to do." KK said as a matter of factly, but she honestly didn't even care.
"We're not assuming. It's obvious." Aubrey said as she kept her eyes on the road.
"Right! My gaydar is beeping widely right over there." Azalea said as she did a beeping sound, pointing her finger at KK.
Everyone laughed at Azalea words, hell even KK was holding back a laughter. "Well, your gaydar could be wrong."
"Please. I'm never wrong." Azalea said confidently as she snuggled closer to Paige.
