Chapter Thirty Two! real life + social media
The next day came back faster than Paige would've wanted. It was almost as if time itself was mocking her, moving at double speed now that she had Azalea back in her life. She wanted it to slow down, slow down every fleeting moment they had yet to share, to savor every second.
But if time wouldn't bend to her will, she was determined to make these next two days unforgettable and memorable.
So the next day, she woke up early, got dressed in a simple pair of sweatpants, hoodie and coat and headed back to Azalea's place outside the city with the car she had rented because she didn't want to be using an Uber to get around and take Azalea places. Plus, the drive out to Azalea's place and to go back to the city was a pretty long distance drive and she didn't want to pay for an Uber every time or wait for one either.
Once she got there, Audrey had already opened the door for her, considering Paige had texted her letting her know that she'd be coming back. Slipping her coat and shoes off, Paige briefly greeted the dogs before heading up to Azalea's room—making sure to get Audrey's permission first—where she was still fast asleep, considering the early hour.
Paige stepped into her room, gently closing the door behind her, even if Azalea couldn't hear her. A soft smile came onto her lips as she saw Azalea curled under all her fuzzy blankets, her pink bonnet wrapped around her head, protecting her curls underneath, with her back turned to the door. The curtains were all the way closed, which made the room appear darker, in the way Azalea loved. She always slept in darkness, her body wrapped in all her blankets up to her chin, not a single part of her body was shown.
It was a sight that she had missed very much and she most definitely missed being under the covers, cuddled up with her.
Walking forward, she gently sat down on the edge of the bed, softly resting a hand on Azalea's back. And as she always did, she leaned forward before pressing her lips against Azalea's cheek where she pressed gentle kisses along.
Azalea stirred slightly at the familiar feeling of Paige's lips along her cheek and the added warmth of Paige's hand on her back. It was feeling she definitely missed being woken up by.
Fluttering her eyes open, her eyebrows furrowed a little as her eyes adjusted to the dim light in her room, the small amount of sunlight sipping through the curtains. Eventually, she turned her head slightly and saw Paige sitting beside her before a small smile crept onto her lips.
Paige had noticed her stirring and had leaned back a bit, her hand still resting on Azalea's back. She waited until Azalea met her eyes before she smiled wider and signed. "Good morning, beautiful."
