Chapter Eight! real life + messages
After everyone had an amazing weekend, unfortunately they had to back to the reality of classes, assignments and practice. Which brings us to where Azalea is at the moment.
Sitting at her desk in her bedroom, Azalea was in the middle of doing an assignment her professor had assigned her and the other students earlier today in class. She had her laptop opened in front of her and also a textbook that she had gotten earlier at the university's library. She had some notes that lay scattered around on her desk that had some ideas she could include in her paragraphs.
Frank Ocean played gently in the background, the music low and not too loud to the point where it would distract Azalea. See, if she had her hearing aids on and was listening to music while studying or doing an assignment, she liked listening to music. But not too loud or else she'd be distracted and wouldn't be able to focus on her work. She just liked the background noise.
Azalea leaned over her laptop, the soft glow of the screen illuminating her focused expression as she typed, fingers moving steadily over the keyboard. Occasionally she'd lean back and stretch her arms, looking over at her notes and making sure everything was aligned and correct. She would pause to read over her words that she had so far, hoping to not miss a spelling error or anything out of place. She wanted each word to fit perfectly, ensuring the tone was both professional and insightful.
Just as she was finishing a paragraph, her phone on her nightstand pinged with a notification, indicating someone had messaged her. Deciding she could take a quick break, Azalea stood up from her chair and walked over to her bed, grabbing her phone along the way.
As soon as she saw who texted her, a smile immediately formed on her lips and the familiar sense of butterflies in her stomach.
Paige 🤍
Paige 🤍 good morning 12:45 am
azalea ❤️ Good morning Are you just waking up?
Paige 🤍 maybe...
Azalea couldn't help but blush at the thought of Paige waking up and immediately texting her. She moved to lay on her stomach, a huge smile on her face as she giggled to herself. Yet a part of her was slightly confused on how someone could wake up so late, especially on a weekday.
