Chapter Twelve!
real life + social mediaTo say Paige and Azalea were together 24/7 was the understatement of the year.
As soon as Paige would get out of practice, she'd head over to Azalea's place. Or if neither of them had classes, they'd go to the cafe or anywhere else, just to be together. If Azalea had a shift at Barnes and Noble, Paige would show up and just follow her around as she placed the books in their respective shelves. Sometimes Azalea was afraid they'd fire her because of Paige following her around the library. But, she got her job done and did everything right.
As the weeks passed, they only got more closer to each other than ever. Maybe both emotionally and physically. It was almost now normal for the two of them to be touching some way or another. Paige was more touchy than Azalea considering she was slightly clingy, but Azalea...tolerated it. Yes, she liked physical touch and affection, just not as much as Paige did. Sometimes she'd playfully push Paige away, claiming she needed some air to breathe, yet two minutes later, she was the one reaching for Paige's hand to play with her fingers.
Which is a common thing Paige also noticed about her, and she loved every second of it. She loved when Azalea playfully pushed her away because she knew damn well that Azalea would only reach out for her minutes later. She loved that Azalea craved and wanted her touch just as much as Paige did. Whether it was holding hands, arm around the shoulder or waist, hand on the knee, or Azalea playing with Paige's fingers, they were always touching.
Paige had also started learning a little bit of sign language or ASL, as she learned. Azalea had taught her the alphabet since it was a simple way to start learning sign language. And soon, little by little, she started teaching her more phrases like greetings, emotions, basic questions, basic everyday words, and of course, small words like 'beautiful' or 'pretty'. She even taught Paige how to sign 'I miss you', which Paige signed constantly whenever Azalea had her hearing aids off around her.
Right now they are obviously in Azalea's apartment watching a movie when Azalea looked up at Paige, looking at her piercings. They looked good, especially the one on her helix. Azalea always wanted one and she was slightly jealous of Paige for it.
Paige looked down at her, noticing her stare. She raised her eyebrow, turning to her as she kept her arm resting on the back of her couch. "Yes?" She asked with a smile.
"I'm extremely jealous of you, you know?" Azalea said, sighing dramatically as she leaned her head down on Paige's shoulder.
"What? Why are you jealous of me? Is it my looks? Cause I'd be jealous of me as well." Paige said, very egoistic of her, in a teasing manner.
