Chapter Fifteen!
real life.

The morning night spilled across the room is soft golden rays, filtering through Azalea's half drawn curtains and casting long shadows on the walls. The air was still, the kind of quiet that felt sacred, safe, as though even the world outside knew not to intrude. Clothes lay scattered across the floor carelessly and the whispers were now memories of what had happened last night. The soft sheets were tangled, half draped over their bodies and the warmth of their shared closeness made the room feel like their own small world—intimate, infinite and precious.

Azalea woke up first, stirring a bit as the sun hit directly in her eyes. Usually Azalea would close the curtains fully, loving sleeping in complete darkness paired with the silence, but obviously last night she had been too busy to close them. She felt Paige's arm lazily draped over her waist as Paige laid her head down on her chest, holding her close as her soft breath brushed against Azalea's skin. She looked down at the blonde as she slept peacefully on her chest.

It was a beautiful sight. Paige, usually very energetic and loud with her teammates was now quiet and calm. It was endearing almost how much of a difference she looked. Her face, half-buried in her chest, was calm and relaxed, almost as if this was the only time she'd ever been able to. Her lips, which so often stretched into a teasing smile or wide grin, eased, her lips slightly parted as she breathed slowly.

As the memories of last night flashed through her mind, Azalea couldn't help but blush, feeling extremely giddy. It was the way Paige touched her and whispered her name, praising her for everything she did. No one had ever seen or heard Azalea like that. Paige was basically her first in everything—kiss, touches, and sex. Obviously she'd never tell Paige, well maybe in the future, but right now she was sure she'd probably get second hand embarrassment if she did tell her.

She looked to the side, seeing her hearing aids sitting on the nightstand next to her bed. Trying to be as still and quiet as possible, she reached her hand over to the nightstand, quickly grabbing her hearing aids. She couldn't hear the sheets moving, but she knew that they were mainly fluffy ones so it didn't make much of a noise. She gently placed her hearing aids on before hearing the familiar sounds around her come to life as she turned the volume up.

Once she did that, she let her arm go back around Paige's very noticeable strong shoulders and softly ran her fingers through her hair as she sighed softly, looking at her large bookshelves by her desk. She stayed like that for a while, patiently waiting for Paige to wake up.

After a few more minutes, Paige stirred awake, her arms tightened around Azalea's bare waist as she brought her closer, moving her head away from her chest and into the crook of her neck. Which seemed like Paige's favorite place because she was always placing her head there whether in a hug or right now, cuddling. She placed small kisses on her skin, her hands softly rubbing up and down her back.
