Chapter Three! real life + messages

The sound of shoes squeaking against the hard floor and ball movement filled the gym of the UConn practice facility. Earlier they had done a team workout, each doing different exercises at different times, making sure to hype each other up along the way. The coaches worked them on skill development, strength training and of course, probably the most valuable, team chemistry. Some of the returning players are made to focus more on specific skills to elevate their game, while the new players work on adapting to UConn's high standards and quick pace.
Now they were practicing. They practiced layup drills, shooting drills, they did 1v1 and the players on the sidelines hyping up and encouraging the ones on the court at the moment. Eventually they began adding two more players until they reached 5v5, resulting in a scrimmage.
Once they had finished, Coach Geno had gathered them up, giving a quick small talk before he let them go, everyone going their separate ways. Paige walked over to her bag, quietly chatting with Ayanna as they changed their shoes.
KK skipped over to them with her usual high energy and wide smile. "Hey girlypops!" She said, plopping down next to them, crossing one leg on her knee.
Paige smiled at KK's personality, already feeling like laughing at the younger's antics. "Hey, KK." Ayanna said as she changed her shoes.
"So Ice, Jana and I are heading to Chick-fil-A, do you guys wanna come?" KK asked, giving them a wide smile and innocent look, hoping to convince them.
"Can't. I have somewhere to be." Ayanna said as she stood up, grabbing her bag. Turning to them she dabbed them up, saying. "Maybe another time though."
"Alright. How bout you, P Boogers?" KK said turning to Paige.
"Sure, yeah let's go."
The four girls soon reached Chick-fil-A and grabbed their foods, heading to the outdoor dining area and began eating. They talked about random things, mostly KK being KK. Their conversation was interrupted by a notification in their group chat from Aubrey.
KK read the message out loud, her excitement becoming more visible as she read the message.
"Aubrey said that we're going to Azalea's place tonight!" KK said, slapping Paige's shoulder in excitement as Jana and Ice also shared the same excitement.
"Dude, I hope she cooks something or has something to eat. Her food always slaps." Jana said as she ate a fry.
Paige looked between the three in confusion, wondering who Azalea was. She feels like she's heard the name before either from Azzi or the others but she doesn't remember.
