Chapter 31 (You've Gotta Be Kidding)

"Todoroki! You're here!" I said happily. "Midoriya, Yumi. Are you evacuating? We'll help." Ojiro said, running over to us. 

"Todoroki's fast!" Mina said.

"Where have you guys been?" I asked.

"We found hurt people over by the river. Everyone else went straight into the city, so we searched on the outskirts." Ojiro explained. Todoroki freezed as many villains as he could with his ice.

"Yaoyorozu and Asui stayed behind to search for survivors. But we couldn't stand by and let these villains do this." Ojiro finished. Todoroki fired off more ice in Gang Orca's direction but he used his sonic blasts and defended against it easily.

"Your power is nothing." he said.

"Guess I know why he's number 10." Todoroki said while blowing out frost breath. We then felt a breeze come over us. We looked up in the air and saw it was that Inasa guy.

"I'm gonna blow you evildoers away!" he yelled. His wind broke Todoroki's ice and blew away almost all of Gang Orca's henchmen. Gang Orca himself was able to endure the blast.

"A second villain attack! Man, they really pulled out all the stops for us, didn't they?" Inasa said. He realized Todoroki was there too and they both glared at each other.

'Uh, oh." I thought.

"Hey, it's him. The one who turned down U.A." Izuku said. We were all running in the opposite direction trying to evacuate the injured civilians.

"Perfect timing too. We can evacuate while the strong attackers hold them back." Iida said.

"Right."

'I don't have such a good feeling about leaving the two of them alone. Especially since I know about their past. And judging from the way Inasa talked to Todoroki, he really doesn't like him. I need to focus on evacuating these people first, then I'll go help those two. I just hope they don't do anything too reckless before I get back.' I thought.

I heard them arguing behind me and turned to look at them.

"You ruined my shot on purpose, didn't you? Using your wind to blow away my fire." Todoroki angrily accused him.

"You blocked me so you'd get all the glory!" Inasa yelled.

"What? Why would I do that?"

"Why wouldn't you? Hatred is in your blood! You are Endeavor's son after all!"

"What the heck has been up with you? My old man's got nothing to do with-" Todoroki's sentence was cut to a stop by a cement gun a villain shot at him.

"Like my cement gun? Good luck trying to move when that hardens up." the henchman said.

"This is outrageous. I can't believe you're arguing." Gang Orca said with a sigh.

'You and me both.' I thought. I decided to hurry up and put these evacuees down at the new first aid station before coming to help Inasa and Todoroki. When I came back, Todoroki used his flames at the same time as Inasa using his wind.

I know first hand that the wind will cancel out the heat. When the wind hit Todoroki's flames it made them bend to the side. His flames were heading straight for that Shindo guy! I quickly teleported to him, crouched down on my right knee, and placed my right hand on his chest.

I teleported him further away with my right hand and sliced through the air in front of the flames with my left hand, canceling out Todoroki's flames again in a matter of seconds.

"You've gotta be kidding me...Fighting during the exam! What's wrong with you guys!?" I yelled at the two boys. They both gasped at my words.

'I know they have beef with each other, but arguing in the middle of the test is ridiculous.' I thought. Then, for some reason, memories of when they first met flashed through my head.
