Chapter 49 (Fiery Hearts)

Kacchan and I were walking to school together. We stepped on campus and some kids from general studies were walking by and glared at us. One was a girl with black pigtails and the other was a big guy with a long chin. I gave them an icy glare back and they flinched, scurrying away.

"Who do they think they are?" I asked angrily.

"Tch. I saw them yesterday." Kacchan said.

"This pisses me off. We're the ones protecting their sorry butts, but they can't understand that. Why are we trying to get on their good side when they're just going to hate? There's nothing we can do about them. We can't change their opinions about us. That's an internal thing they have to do."

"Yeah, I'm with ya. Let's murder em." Kacchan said with an evil grin.

"This is so annoying. They're so ignorant." I said disregarding Kacchan.

"Yeah. So let's murder em!" Kacchan said.

"That's not very hero like, now is it?" I asked with an eyebrow raised.

"Don't tell me what's heroic or not!" Kacchan yelled.

"Well it seemed like you needed the lesson since you were trying to murder innocent people!" I yelled back.

"Shut up! I'll kill you!" Kacchan yelled.

"Impossible! Everyone knows I'm stronger than you! Give it your best shot and see what happens!" I raised my fist and got ready to fight and Kacchan did too.

We were now in the hallway where a bunch of people were and we were causing a scene. It was no wonder Kirishima found us.

"Guys! What are you doing?" he shouted.

"Buzz off, Kirishima! She's asking for it!" Kacchan yelled.

"He really thinks he can beat me!" I said, smirking.

Kirishima sighed. "This is just like the old days." he said under his breath. "Aren't you two a couple now? You shouldn't be fighting! Especially not in the middle of the school hallway." he said coming between us.

"That doesn't make him any less of a firecracker that's always exploding!" I said.

"She's still an annoying snowflake head!" Kacchan yelled angrily.

Kirishima sighed again. "Two fiery hearts. No wonder you two are always going at it." Kirishima said.

Kacchan and I raised an eyebrow.

"Can we just go to class now?"

"You're so weird, Kirishima." I said.

"Oh, I'm the weird one?" he asked sarcastically.

Today was our last day of extra classes. When we got back to the dorms, everyone was in the common room.

"Hey guys! We're back!" I shouted when we all walked through the door.

"We finally finished up our extra classes, so now we can help for real!" Uraraka said.

"What'd we miss?" I asked.

Everyone explained to us that they had decided to do a musical performance.

"I see. So we've decided to go with rave rock club music for our performance?" Tsu asked.

"Having Jiro on the bass and Yaoyorozu on the keyboards make sense but..." Kirishima trailed off.

"Bakugo on the drums is kind of uuh...how do I put it?..." Uraraka finished for him but trailed off as well.

"Shocking!" Hagakure said for her.
