"Okay. Everyone, Thanks for your hard work in today's exam. Now before I announce the results, I should probably mention how we were scoring you. We were evaluating you on how few mistakes you made in a crisis. So, the names of who passed are listed in alphabetical order." Mera pointed to the large screen behind him.

"Keep my words in mind as you search for your name." The screen showed all of our names. I searched the board and found my name.

'Alright! I passed.'

A lot of my classmates did it too! But.....Kacchan, Todoroki, and even that Inasa guy...I glanced at Kacchan and he looked super angry and Todoroki had no facial expression. Then Inasa walked over.

"Todoroki!" he shouted. He bowed and hit his head on the ground. "I'm sorry! It's my fault you didn't pass the exam. My focus was too narrow minded." Todoroki averted his gaze to think then looked back at him.

"It's fine. I was the one who got us off to a bad start."

"But still..."

"And thanks to you, I have a lot to think about."

"Oh, crap. Did he really fail?" Mina said.

"How could our top two classmates have failed?" Sero questioned.

"You should've been more careful about what you said. Words are important, ya know?" Kaminari teased Kacchan.

"Shut your trap before I murder you!" Kacchan growled.

"So, next we'll give you the print out of your results. Look over them carefully. They include a breakdown of your scores so you'll know exactly what you need to improve on." Mera said.

A guy with black glasses and a black suit came over and handed me a sheet of paper. "Takayumi." he said. I took the piece of paper from him and looked over it.

"We docked off points when you did something wrong. Fall below 50 and you automatically fail. These demerits are itemized on your result forms, as you'll see, so I'd look at them." Mera said.

Mina walked to me and leaned over my shoulder.

"What'd you get?" she asked.

"82. It says I need to work on how I speak to my comrades? That's bogus."

"Well...They're not wrong."

"And they docked off points for when I was just standing around sometimes...I guess that's valid." I said.

We were waiting outside for our bus when Todoroki walked up to me.

"Hey, Yumi." he called out to me. I was shocked that he was talking to me again. That was the second time today.

"What's up?" I asked.

"I wanted to thank you." he said.

"Thank me? For what?"

"For what you did today. If you hadn't yelled at me, I wouldn't have ever snapped out of it during the exam."

"Oh, that? It was nothing." I said, trying to shrug it off.

"I also wanted to apologize for how I've always treated you in the past. I wasn't seeing things straight before and I'd like to start over..."

I gasped and stared at him for a moment. This was a new look for me from Todoroki. We never got along well and he was always mean to me. Not that I minded that. It was just new and he looked genuine.

I smirked and placed my hand on his shoulder. "No worries, Todo! We're gonna be besties!" Todoroki looked annoyed at first, but he lightened up and slightly smiled at me and I smiled back. Then we heard a loud voice.

"Hey, hey!" It was Inasa running towards us. "Todoroki! I'll see you at the special course, but here's the thing! Honestly, nothing's really changed! I still don't like you! Sorry!" He said cheerfully. Then he started running back to his bus. "Well, that's it for now! See ya!"

Everyone looked at him confused by what just happened.

"....Well that was weird...Even for me." I said.

"We'll just make the best of it." Todoroki said.

—------

It was now nighttime and we were all in the common area.

"So we're back to normal classes tomorrow, right?" Jiro asked.

"I suppose there's no rest for heroes." Yoayorozu said.

"I could use a vacation." Sato said.

"I will not forget this summer for the rest of my life." Tokoyami said.

I then heard a familiar hotheaded tone boom through the room.

"You!" Kacchan called out to Izuku. "Meet me out front later." he said.

I couldn't hear what he said after he walked past Izuku, but my curiosity was feeling teased. I was wondering what could be so important that Kacchan had to tell Izuku to meet him later and not just talk to him now.

When everyone went to bed that night, besides me, those two were the only ones awake. I looked out my window, wondering where Kacchan was taking him. I wanted to follow them but I knew it wasn't my business to pry.

'This curiosity is eating away at me! I just want to know what's going on between them. Kacchan had made a weird comment about Izuku's quirk today at the exam. He said something about him making his quirk his own. Maybe that's what this is about. But what does that even mean??? His own. Maybe I could follow them to find out...But should I???'
