Chapter 43 (The League Is Here)

We continued running down the halls trying to find our way back to where we were before.

"Oh, man. I'm getting kinda worried about Suneater." Red Riot said.

"Listen! You've left a comrade to guard your back, and if you're a real man, you'll trust him!" Fat Gum yelled.

"Yeah! He'll take 'em down, no problem!" Red yelled back almost immediately.

"Doesn't take much to change your mind, does it? I said.

"Fat's right! All we can do is have faith in him!" Red said.

"We can't afford to waste a second of the time Suneater bought us." Fat Gum said.

"Alright! Let's go!"

Eraser Head spoke up from beside me.

"Strange. The one who was manipulating the wall before seems to have eased up for some reason."

"Yeah, you're right. It's not twisting anymore." Deku said.

"I'd expect him to throw as many obstacles in our way as he could to trip us up. If he's not, maybe his power and awareness doesn't extend throughout the entire building. There's also the police squad up above. It's possible he chose to focus his attention on them instead." Eraser said.

"So there's a limit to how much of the building he can keep tabs on?" Rock Lock asked.

"It's just a theory, but maybe rather than having been assimilated into it, he's moving around the walls to monitor everything that's going on. So when he does take control of an area, perhaps his real body is around too. If he pokes an actual eye or ear out, that'll be all it takes. I just need to see him." Eraser said.

Just then, a giant piece of the wall came, like a hand, and tried to push me and Eraser Head into a wall.

"Eraser! Breeze!" Kirishima yelled.

'He wants to take Eraser Head outta the fight before he can see him. I just got caught in the blow.' I thought.

Fat Gum and Kirishima both jumped for us. Fat Gum pushed Eraser and Kirishima pushed me, but in return they both were pushed into the wall. And I mean into. Like there was a tunnel in the wall and they got pushed into it.

"Be careful, Fat!" Aizawa yelled.

"Kirishima!" I yelled.

I gritted my teeth having to accept the fact that my friend just took a blow for me and is in danger now. I stood up.

'If you don't come back safe, I'm gonna kill you...Still, that was pretty manly of you, Red Riot.' I thought.

We ran off and continued on with our search, but all of a sudden, everything started twisting again!

"They're closing in fast!"

"They're trying to crush us!" Eraser said.

"We'll be flat like pancakes!" Rock Lock yelled.

"Rock Lock, do something!" Nighteye yelled.

"Stop giving orders!" Rock Lock snapped back. "This is all your fault! Following you is what got us into this mess!"

"Wow, putting the blame on someone else is real mature, isn't it? Are you an idiot!? Listening to Nighteye is what got us this far! We couldn't have done this with him! Grow up and listen to him!" I yelled at him.

"Shut up! I know what I'm doing! I don't need a high schooler to tell me anything." Rock Lock put his hand on the wall and made the building stop wobbling, however, it still had its twisty shape.
