Third Person POV

Bakugo had led Izuku out to ground beta where they had their first battle against each other. Bakugo had to get to the bottom of this. He had to know what Izuku meant by a borrowed quirk but he had already come to the conclusion that he got his quirk from All Might. He just needed to confirm it.

After Izuku told Bakugo he was right, he demanded that they fight. Right then and there. A security robot saw the two boys fighting and notified Aizawa of the situation. Aizawa was annoyed and was about to head out to stop them, but All Might stopped him and said he'd go in his place. He felt it was his responsibility to take care of Bakugo and Izuku.

Bakugo had a lot of weight on his shoulders at the time. He felt as if he was to blame for All Might's retirement and he needed to fight to release all of his stress and All Might knew that.

Before anyone could arrive at the scene, Bakugo revealed all his feelings to Izuku.

He tripped backward and fell to the ground. Izuku rushed over and held out his hand to him.

"Hey. Are you okay?" Izuku asked.

Bakugo slapped his hand away furiously.

"Don't you dare worry about me! Attack me! Why won't you fight back!?" Bakugo stood up and stumbled backwards. "Why did I end up having to chase after someone who was always so far behind me!? Why did a small fry like you, have to become strong and become the number one's favorite? You got so much better, and I destroyed All Might!

I admired him so much, but it's because of me that he ended up losing his power! If I had only been stronger. If I hadn't been captured by villains...It wouldn't have happened. All Might knows it's my fault but hasn't said anything yet, but everyone has to know! I can't get it out of my head...It's on a constant loop! So what the heck am I supposed to do!!!"

Izuku was shocked. 'No. He's been carrying this guilt all this time. Even more than me. Blaming himself for what happened. Obsessing over it.' he thought.

"And don't even get me started on snowflake head. She hasn't even been talking to me. Ever since we got captured, she's been so distant. I don't know how to fix it. I'm afraid of losing her...I'm afraid she thinks of me as weak.

I'm supposed to be the one protecting her, and yet, in Camino Wards, when we were teleported with All For One...she was more fearless than me...I couldn't stand it...I don't know what to do! She's pissing me off, more than ever before!" Bakugo yelled.

Bakugo was so mad at Yumi. He couldn't fully comprehend his emotions for her, but he knew he was feeling hurt in some kind of way, and Izuku knew too. He was the only person in the world who fully understood how Bakugo was feeling.

They continued to fight, remembering the time they spent together as kids and in high school. Eventually, Bakugo was able to pin Izuku to the ground.

The two boys were panting and beat up really badly.

"That's it. We're done here. I won this fight." Bakugo said, still pinning Izuku down. "You have All Might's power but even using his strength, even making it your own, you still managed to lose to me.......Why? How could you lose?"

All Might walked onto the scene and shortly after and Yumi did too and hid behind some buildings. Yeah. Her curiosity got the better of her that night and she decided to follow them. Unfortunately, she came at the worst time possible and overheard All Might telling Bakugo everything about his power.

How his power was passed down from many generations in order to be used against great evil. About how he used that power to become the Symbol Of Peace. About how he was gravely injured, which limited his strength. And finally, how he chose Izuku to become the next successor.

The amount of shock Yumi was in was unmatched. She had no idea. But the more she thought about it, the more it made sense. The way Izuku and All Might were always so close and sneaking off having lunch together sometimes. And most of all, what All Might said in Camino Wards and how Izuku reacted.

She heard footsteps coming in her direction and left quickly and quietly to go back to the dorms.

"I can't believe it! So All Might was injured and that's why he's in this skinny form now!? And Izuku's new quirk is from All Might passing it down to him! This is unbelievable. I never would have imagined quirks could be passed down from one another.

Let alone for many generations! Well, no matter how much shock I might be in right now, for now, it's probably best that I don't say anything about it. I mean, it's supposed to be a secret, right?"

Yumi POV

The next day, Mr. Aizawa punished Bakugo and Izuku by putting them on house arrest. Izuku for three days and Bakugo for four. I was still kinda shocked by the news I learned yesterday, so I wasn't really focused on everything that was happening that day until Azui mentioned something called a work study in class.

"Excuse me, Mr. Aizawa, but what was the principal talking about during the opening ceremony today? I've never heard of the term hero work study before." Asui said.

"I know right. That had me pretty confused too." Sero said.

"I also have my concerns." Tokoyami said.

"He said it was something the upperclassmen do, correct?" Momo said.

Aizawa sighed. "I was going to talk more about that on a later date but...I suppose telling you now is more logical. Simply put, it's work outside of class. Like the internships you did with pro hero agencies before, only closer to the real thing." Aizawa said.

The room went silent until Uraraka started screaming.

"Wait, then why did we work so hard at the sports fest!?" she yelled.

"She has a point. If we have work studies, those who weren't scouted at the sports festival still have career paths." Iida testified.

"This doesn't make sense!" Ochako said, freaking out.

"You'll be using your connections from the sports festival to secure a work study. It's basic networking. This isn't part of your normal classwork. It's discretionary for each student. That means, those of you who didn't do well in the sports festival will unfortunately have a hard time getting one.

Originally, individual agencies recruited on their own, but there was lots of competition as people tried to recruit students from U.A. So this is how things ended up." Aizawa explained. "Good enough, Ochako?"

"I'm sorry I jumped to conclusions, sir." She apologized.

"Now that you have your provisional licenses, you can assist in real ways, for longer periods of time. Until now there haven't been many first years who've gotten their licenses. With the increased activity of villains, we're currently exploring the idea that you can participate in work studies too.

We'll explain more about the work study positions and what program entails later, but for now...we've got other things to worry about. That's all. Sorry to keep you waiting, Mic." Aizawa finished his lecture and the door slid open and Present Mic was standing there.

"First period is English! In other words, it's jam time! Been an age since I last stepped foot in here, ya miss me? We've got a lot to cover today! Let's get this party started, ya dig!"

'Work studies, huh? That's interesting.' I thought.
