Chapter 51 (Do You Remember)

Third Person POV

Kacchan was lying on his bed with his arms behind his head just thinking about life when, all of a sudden, his girlfriend popped up in his head. She was smirking, and he just knew she was teasing him about something.

He felt annoyed, but, at the same time, his heart was racing because she was also so pretty. The way his heart was beating reminded him of how he felt when he and Yumi had their first kiss.

'It was in the courtyard, right?.....No, that's not right. It was at that mall.'

Flashback

Kacchan walked into the mall and texted Yumi to ask where she was.

Kacchan: I'm at this dumb Mall! Where are you!?

Yumi: Build-A-Hero.

Kacchan walked into Build-A-Hero and saw her. He'd never seen her look better and he felt himself blush.

Kacchan: You actually look pretty decent today.

Yumi: Uh, correction. I look amazing today.

'She's so cocky.' Kacchan thought playfully. He began walking towards her while still texting her.

Kacchan: The hair is the best part...I like what you did to it.

Yumi: I know right...

Yumi: Wait. What!? How'd you know!?

Kacchan: Turn around, idiot.

It was then that Kacchan noticed he was unknowingly, very close to Yumi.

She turned her head around and was met with Kacchan's lips! She was shocked for a moment and realized she was kissing him!!! Kacchan was just as shocked. He didn't know what to think. He was kissing Yumi! Snowflake Head! His annoying childhood friend...but...it was nice...all the way up until she ruined it with her fist and punched him in the stomach.

Kacchan grunted in pain and Yumi ran outta there.

'Guess she didn't want to kiss me.' Kacchan thought.

Present

'In that moment, just for a second,...I actually wanted to kiss her again. Maybe that was the moment when I finally realized I had stronger feelings for her. Actually, I might have already had feelings for her and just didn't know it.' Kacchan thought.

'Come to think of it, that was the day that Yumi started smiling more than usual. Can't believe I just noticed it now.'

Just then, the training camp popped up in his head and Kacchan gasped.

'Wait! We talked about the kiss!' he thought.

Flashback

"I don't like you in that way." Kacchan said.

Present

He quickly sat up on his bed. He felt panic arouse in him.

'Everything went south after that conversation. Was I the one who ruined things between us!? I only said that because I thought she didn't like me!' Kacchan thought.

He picked up his phone and opened Yumi's contact info.

'Should I ask Yumi to come over, or should I go over to her room? Or should I even talk to her right now? I mean, I'm just thinking about the past.'

After some time thinking about it, he decided to call her over. He wanted to talk to her and he also just didn't mind seeing her.

A few minutes later, there was a knock on his door and Yumi walked in with her hands in her pockets.
