Chapter 38 (You Wanna Laugh)

"Here we are! He's just beyond this door. If you want to get stronger...then walk on through!"

Me and Izuku burst through the door.

"Heyo! I brought the first you wanted and the other one I mentioned yesterday!" Togata announced as we entered the room.

We saw a tall man with yellow glasses in a white suit and pink polka dot tie, with green hair and yellow stripes through it.

Next to him was his sidekick, Bubble Girl, but she looked like she was getting tortured by a tickling machine she was trapped in and she was laughing uncontrollably.

"I see. So this is how loud and energetic you can be." Sir Nighteye said.

"What kind of place is this!?" Izuku yelled.

"No! Please, stop!" Bubble Girl yelled.

"Uh, Togata. What's going on here?" I asked, bluntly.

"That's his sidekick, Bubble Girl. Looks like she didn't make him laugh. Oof, sucks." he said.

Nighteye turned to us and glared at us. Izuku flinched at his gaze, but I wasn't fazed. In fact, I burst out laughing when I saw him.

"Hahaha! You wanna laugh, just look in the mirror! Who the heck picked out that ridiculous polka dot tie for you? It doesn't match your suit at all! The way your glasses match the yellow stripes in your hair and the buttons on your suit is hilarious! And just look at how tall you are! You look like Slender Man!"

Togata and Izuku froze in fear of what I had just said. I'm sure they thought I was out of my mind insulting Nighteye like that. Nighteye marched over to me sternly. I just smirked trying to hide the slightest nervousness I had within. We stared at each other intensely and then...he smirked!

"Ah, yes. You must be Takayumi. You're the first person to ever have the guts to make fun of my tie. I wear it just for that purpose. To make people laugh when they see it. I knew you wouldn't have a problem doing that when I saw you at the sports festival. You give off a presence of laughter and you're strong. That's why I wanted you to come here. I thank you for amusing me today." Nighteye said.

I looked at him with a lifted eyebrow for a second but then reverted back to my smirk. Glad he didn't take that in a bad way. My mouth usually gets me into trouble with guys like him. I heard Togata let out a sigh of relief behind me.

Izuku gathered himself again and started messing with his hair with his head down. When he popped his head back up, he had an All Might impression on his face.

"I'm Izuku Midoriya!"

I almost burst out laughing.

'I forgot....Izuku isn't funny!!!' I thought.

Nighteye's glare got super strict towards Izuku and he gulped. "What is this, boy? Are you ridiculing All Might!? What are you doing with your face? You think this is funny?" He asked angrily.

"Uh, no, I guess not." Izuku answered nervously.

"You attempted this blasphemous excuse of an impression on All Might's former sidekick?" Nighteye walked up to Izuku and grabbed his face.

"All Might's wrinkles aren't like this at all. You fool. In his early age they were 0.6 centimeters long. From his silver age on they were 0.8 centimeters long. These days, even unlicensed merchandise manages to get the correct wrinkles in the correct eras. But you don't even know that much?"

It was then I actually took a look at his office. Every inch of it was filled with All Might merch. He was a complete fan boy. Nighteye stepped away from Izuku and turned his back to him.
