Chapter 36 (Confess)

"Getting some fresh air, huh?" I heard a deep voice behind me. When he came around the fountain, I got a little nervous because it was Kacchan!

"Uh, yeah. Just thinking..."

Kacchan sat down next to me and we sat in awkward silence.

"So, about yesterday...in my room..." Kacchan started.

I gasped and chuckled.

"Ha! Oh, yeah! I totally forgot about that!"

".....I didn't...You never let me respond, idiot."

"Oh! You don't have to! It was silly, and I was panicking, and I wasn't in the right head space, and-"

"Shut up and just listen to me." Kacchan cut me off. I stopped rambling on and listened to him. His voice sounded different. He was annoyed, as always, but he didn't seem mad or angry like he usually does.

"I just wanted to respond to you. You told me your feelings, so I'll tell you mine." Kacchan stood up and took a few steps forward, not ever looking back at me. He had his hands in his pockets and was looking at the ground. I just continued to sit on the fountain, looking at him from behind.

"After you started ignoring me, I got really annoyed...because it was then that I had realized how much I was taking our friendship for granted...But then, you started hanging around other guys, and it really pissed me off. Not just because you were ignoring me, but because you were choosing to talk to them instead of me.

I didn't know why I was so hurt at first...but now I do.." Kacchan trailed off.

I started blushing. I didn't know what to think. Was he about to confess his feelings to me!?

"I don't know when or how it happened. You were always so annoying, and teasing me...but even so, I still wanted to protect you. I was hurt because it had always been you by my side." Kacchan said, still turned away from me.

I was sitting wide eyed. I teleported in front of him to see his facial expression. Kacchan flinched when I did and turned his head away from me.

"Kacchan....What are you trying to say?" I asked.

He scoffed. "Use context clues!" He said, embarrassed.

I smirked and leaned closer to his face. "No. I need you to tell me. I told you, didn't I?"

"I'm not gonna say it!" Kacchan yelled.

I put my hand on his cheek and turned his face towards me. His cheeks were a deep red and he looked embarrassed. I burst out laughing.

"Hahaha! Your face is all red! You must be embarrassed! Come on. Tell me what's wrong." I said, teasingly.

"You would think someone as smart as you could just use context clues and find out that I obviously like you!!!" Kacchan yelled angrily in my face.

I blushed and smirked again. "....I made you say it." I said.

Kacchan gasped then blushed dark red again. "Yeah, well...it was obvious." he said, quietly.

"Not really." I said.

"Says the person who had to ignore me before telling me, and not only that, whispered her confession!" Kacchan snapped back.

"Well, at least I said my confession! I had to force you, moron!" I yelled.

"What'd you call me!?"

"I call you a moron! Got a problem?"

"You wanna fight!?"

I paused and thoutht about it. "......You know what? Not tonight. The important thing is that we both know our feelings for each other now. So where do we go from here?" I asked.

Kacchan calmed down. "Well...You like me."

"Yeah."

"And, I like you."

"Yeah!"

"Then, you're mine and I'm yours. Simple as that." Kacchan said.

I nodded. "So, basically, we're together now?" I said.

"Obviously. That's what I just said." Kacchan rolled his eyes.

"No you didn't! You keep beating around the bush!" I said.

"You kidding me!? What does 'you're mine and I'm yours' sound like to you!?" Kacchan said.

"Not 'we're together'. If that's what you meant, then you should've said that!" I said.

"It doesn't matter how I say it, as long as you know!" Kacchan said.

I sighed. "Yeah, you're right. Let's just head back inside. Everyone's already asleep. We should get some too." I said, smiling.

I was walking back towards the dorms when Kacchan grabbed my arm and pulled me into him. I was shocked and blushed.

"I forgot to give you something." He said.

He leaned down and gave me a nice, deep kiss. I was too shocked to even kiss him back before he pulled away.

"That was for embarrassing me before." Kacchan said in a low and deep tone.

I stood there stunned still while Kacchan just walked past me to go inside. Then I teleported beside him to walk back inside for the night.

'So, Izuku and Kirishima were right. Kacchan did like me back. And it only took him rejecting me, me ignoring him, and me confessing before he realized......Man, I'm good.

It feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. But that's just one problem solved. I still have to keep All Might's secret on lock down and I have upcoming work studies to worry about! Life's rough! 

Overall, I'm really glad that Kacchan and I are back to normal.'

Yes! That was quite a short chapter and I am disappointed that it's not longer, BUT, they confessed to each other and they're together now! 🫶  You can't be mad at me for that. They're already fighting like a married couple and everything. They're so cute and there are sure to be more cute moments in the future! Imagine how all the girls will react to seeing them together!
